There is also a ground floor bathroom with bath and shower over. Retreat upstairs to one of the three stunning bedrooms and where you will find the family bathroom.
Just a short walk takes you in to Hay-on Wye, a fantastic diverse market town, ideal for stocking up on deli items and great for browsing around. This ‘Town of Books’ is fascinating; there are the famous second-hand bookshops, designer boutiques, a butter market with local produce, antique dealers, retailer’s catering for crafts and interiors, there is even a chandelier shop, which is truly charming. The cinema and theatre are a venue which hosts a variety of eclectic artists and theatrical performances throughout the year. The choice of cafés and restaurants will leave you needing to return time and again. Don’t miss the ice cream parlour, which sells not only delicious ice cream but great coffee and desserts. The local gastro pub has an excellent reputation, and an evening here is a must.
The famous Hay-on-Wye festival is hosted each year and offers a plethora of various readings and speakers. It is just 16 miles from the market town of Brecon, which has an array of coffee shops, galleries and independent shops, a visit to the Welsh Regimental Museum is a great day out, for those of you wanting to take in the views, then a walk-up Pen Y Fan is a must.
