The 7,000 sq. ft. designer home, with an infinity pool overlooking a 33 acre stocked bass lake, is nestled on 1,600 acres of pristine land in Choctaw County, OK. This extensive designer home was decorated by world renowned decorator Charles Faudree, who masterfully created “country French meets rustic ranch,” making this working cattle ranch an experience unto itself. Guests young and old can appreciate the detail and splendor this home offers, while they feel completely relaxed and comfortable to put up their feet.
Fish one of its two lakes, hike along the numerous wooded trails, spot deer dashing around the property, walk among the mature pecan trees and stargaze at night. Or spend the day relaxing by the infinity pool listening to music on Sonos, cook dinner in the outdoor kitchen/living room while catching the game on the gazebo TV as you, quite literally, watch the cows come home. The Rockin J Ranch makes every effort to have country life feel refreshingly civilized. This is our beloved family retreat of more than 23 years and we welcome guests who will appreciate their time at this one-of-a-kind as property as much as we do!
THE LIVING AREAS:
The enormous chef’s kitchen is the heart of this mansion, beautifully situated under a vaulted, beamed ceiling. The oversized island and double appliances make it an exceptional experience cooking for large groups. With an open concept layout, it overlooks the upscale yet cozy living room with ample seating and large television so everyone has a prime seat for game day. Floor to ceiling windows run the entire west side of the house, which includes a round dining table that seats up to 10, with uninterrupted views of the infinity pool overlooking the 33 acre lake. Peer through the vintage WWII telescope to spot our black cattle in the distance or an eagle’s nest, or enjoy incredible star gazing at night far from the city lights. The Rockin J Ranch is a private resort with the vast countryside as its backdrop.
The large game room upstairs is the perfect “kid retreat.” With a pool table, dart board, theater size smart TV, luxury card table, cabinets stocked full of board games, a wet bar and half bathroom, this is THE place to be if you are young - or young at heart!
The cozy library at the front of the house is the place to snuggle up with a good book in front of a roaring fire or just enjoy a little solitude. With a fold-out sofa and a door for privacy, guests can use this as an additional sitting room during the day or a bedroom at night.
