The diverse beaches of North Devon are not far away including; Westward Ho!, Instow, Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Croyde, to name a few. Lundy Island, lying just 10 miles off the coast of North Devon is home to a fascinating array of birds and seals, and can be reached on Lundy's own boat from Bideford Quay. Great Torrington is a quiet, convenient base from which to explore North Devon, the Tarka Trail and the rolling Devon landscape.
