The focal point is a magnificent indoor heated swimming pool in a separate building in the grounds. The pool barn is also heated and ideal therefore for rental all the year round.
The accommodation consists of 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms (5 of the bathrooms are ensuite).
The renovation and refurbishment has been completed to a high standard.
The ground floor has a large entrance hallway with a separate gymnasium room.
CHAPEL SAINTE BARBE (opposite the house)
The chapel of Sainte-Barbe Saint Barbe is the patron saint of firefighters) has been classified as a historical monument since 2018.
It is a 15th century building. Inside the eight paintings of the panelling represent scenes of Saint Barbara and Saint Noyale.
Several beautiful 15th century statues adorn the sanctuary: Saint Barbara, Saint Patern, Saint Adrian, Saint Catherine, the Virgin Mary and Saint Margaret.
LOCAL AREA
Noyal Pontivy, about 10 minutes by car, has a supermarket, some restaurants and a boulangerie for your fresh bread and pastries. A little further away is the larger town of Pontivy.
This bustling market town has numerous restaurants and cafés as well as three or four large supermarkets.
Pontivy is an historic town having an impressive chateau. Also a good choice of restaurants, supermarkets and interesting shops. Every Monday there is a large market for fresh vegetables, cheese, bread and all sorts of other gastronomic delights.
Also within easy distance is the beautiful walled city of Vannes, Concarneau and the lovely chateau town of Josselin.
Many Brittany beaches are approximately an hour's drive from Poulvern. Here you can enjoy fresh, locally caught seafood at one of the many harbourside restaurants in the area.
There is a golf course nearby.
The nearby Nantes-Brest canal offers miles of beautiful canalside walking or cycling.
The largest lake in Brittany, Lake Guerledan, is within a short distance of the house.
The shores, beaches and water sports centres offer excellent departure points for kayaking, sailing, pedalo or water skiing on the lake.
Also close by is the stunning Abbaye Bon Repos where every year a spectacular "son et lumière" is held.
THE BRITTANY REGION
Moulin le Ponto is in the Department of Morbihan in the beautiful region of Brittany in northern France.
Brittany is easily accessible from the UK via several Ferry Ports and is also served by flights from the UK to 4 French airports.
From spectacular beaches with rugged coastlines to vast sandy expanses, to peaceful woods and forests and the famous Nantes-Brest Canal, Brittany has all the makings of a perfect holiday.
The cuisine in the area includes crepes and galettes and of course the seafood! Mussels and oysters are available throughout the region, particularly in the summer months. Cider is produced here and local varieties are available in all supermarkets and restaurants.
During the summer numerous villages and town celebrate the "Pardon" which is predominantly a religious thanksgiving but is always followed by a celebratory meal (with a drink or two!) and Breton dancing.
An original staircase leads to the First Floor . There is a banister but the stairs are not carpeted.

Bedroom 2 and 3 share a bathroom “Jack and Jill” style allowing access to a common bathroom area from two separate areas.
Second Floor
Bedroom 4 – Master Bedroom with King Size bed and ensuite facilities, bath, shower cubicle, wash basin and WC. Plenty of hanging space and cupboards. Also an adjoining work area with office table and chair.
The TV in the Master Bedroom has a sky box and some British channels.
Ground Floor:
Kitchen:
This has been beautifully fitted with all that is needed for a self-catering holiday. Amenities include double electric oven and induction hob, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. A small table in the kitchen can seat
3-4 guests. There is also a small wood burner.
Living Room:
The lounge/dining area is a perfect place to sit and relax. Its large feature fireplace is perfect for cooler months. For winter lets a basket of logs is provided. The sofas comfortably seat 12 guests.
In the lounge is a wide screen TV.
This has an Amazon Fire Stick enabling access for: Netflix, Amazon Prime, You Tube and more!
There are numerous channels in languages including English, French and German.
Also for guest use in the lounge is a pool table.
The large dining table seats 12 guests.
Utility area:
There is a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and WC.
Please note the oven in this room is not for use!
First floor:
Stairs leading from the living room give access to the other bedrooms.
Bedroom 5 – King size bed with wardrobe, chest of drawers and ensuite shower room.
Bedroom 6 – King size bed with large wardrobe and ensuite shower room.
Outside:
A patio area with a large dining table provided. Great for dining “al fresco”! There are plenty of sun loungers and deckchairs.
A spherical water feature has been installed. This is illuminated at night giving an enchanted feel to the garden.
There is a small, grassed lawn. A large gas barbecue is available for guest use.
Pool house:
Swimming pool dimensions: 10m x 5m. Depth 1.8m
The pool and the pool house are heated making it available for use all the year. For an atmospheric experience the pool can be lit at night. The Pool house has a lockable door and guests are asked to keep this locked when not in use. This is particularly with regards to young children who should always be supervised when in the Pool house.
The mezzanine level has a bar football table. There is a shower and WC also.
