Positif: The bed has a very comfortable mattress, the shower has good pressure, and with all those facilities in the kitchen, was pretty easy to cook a meal just like at home. And in this area, you will wish to cook a meal by yourself, because there are not many options to eat out. The streets are clean, and if you want to have a fun day, you are only 20 minutes from the beach of the ferry to the islands.
Négatif: An unexpected dry "welcome" by the lady who owns the propriety. She seemed to be unhappy to receive us in her pension, and after quickly showing us the apartment, she vanished before I could make any questions about the rest of the things such as: "How do we get to the garden? Where can we find the BBQ set? Which parts of the garden can we stay at? Where do I find you if needed?" When I booked, I've sent a message asking about the use of the garden and the BBQ set, but also got no reply. What I got instead was a wave of spam mails talking about bringing two documents to allow me to enter the building. I had the trouble to print these 2 documents they send, but did not even get asked to show them upon arrival. This all made me feel miserable and made the whole stay less pleasant than it could have been if we had been treated better initially. The apartment: * By the photos I thought I'd stay in the separated house in the garden, but it is on the top floor of where the owner lives, and to go there ,you need to use a very steep staircase and there is a lower ceiling, which I bumped my head hardly twice. * Hot, no fans to cool yourself while you melt in the bedroom or the living room( opening the windows is not an option, as the room quickly gets full of mosquitoes. * Because the bedroom and living room have carpets, the place has a bit of a smell of old house. * Living room has a vintage style sofa that is so uncomfortable and the tv has some issue with buzzing due to some cable issue, which I did not dare to touch. * No wifi, but there was a paper with a password for a "lan cable" which was nowhere to be seen. * The parking is on the lawn of the house across the street. The area: * This village has no much to offer beyond the streets to go elsewhere. * Supermarkets close early *There is one or two restaurant options, but I strongly recommend going elsewhere.
