This unique, cozy apartment, newly renovated and furnished, is ideally located for those wishing to stay close to the sea, in a charming but quiet environment and, at the same time, close to all the most famous tourist destinations of Salento.
The living space consists of two rooms with the characteristic star-shaped vault (or "volta a stella"). The perimeter walls, of considerable thickness, guarantee complete thermal and acoustic insulation. The spacious air-conditioned living-dining room is very airy and has a comfortable built-in kitchen with oven, fridge, dining table, double sofa bed and TV. The double bedroom, also air-conditioned, has an additional single bed. The bathroom with shower is practical and functional. The external rear space is equipped with a sink, washing machine, outdoor shower (complete with hot water) and a practical barbecue facility.
This apartment is part of a villa (see also property # 4316316), built in the second half of the 800, and located on a large estate, which was once a rich vineyard. The land around the villa, partly intended for pine trees, partly for seasonal crops, is completely enclosed by a dry stonewall, closed by a wrought iron gate. In the property coexist secular fig trees together with more recent pine trees (common and marine) and Mediterranean maquis consisting of oleanders, pittosporum, myrtle, caper, rosemary and thyme. Because of its position and the presence of large outdoor living spaces, this property promotes maximum relaxation and privacy.
The house is located in "Posto Rosso" (Alliste marina), in an ideal residential area to spend a holiday in peace. The sea is 100 meters away, the coast is low rock and flat (ideal for snorkeling) while less than 4 km (reachable in a few minutes by car, bike or scooter) are beaches of fine white sand, which nothing has to envy the atolls of the Maldives atolls.
From "Posto Rosso" it is possible to directly reach many of the most popular destinations of Salento such as the fortified cities of Gallipoli and Otranto, the Baroque refinement of Lecce and the luxurious liberties of Leuca.
Traveling along the coast, in the direction of Gallipoli, you will immediately find the marina of "Capilungo", characteristic for its emerald coves and for the presence of some of the best restaurants of the lower Salento. Continuing you will reach "Torre Suda" (2.5 km) with its shops and establishments, the "Marina di Mancaversa" (4 km), the sought-after sandy beaches "Lido Pizzo" (6.5 km), "Punta della Suina" (8 km) and the young people's favorite "Baia Verde" (12 km). The city of Gallipoli is about 18 km away. In the direction of Santa Maria di Leuca you immediately reach the lively seaside resort of "Torre San Giovanni" (less than 4 km) with its magnificent white sandy beaches, fishing port, numerous shops, restaurants and a characteristic weekly market (Monday ). Going further south, towards the extreme tip of the heel, you will find "Marina di Pescoluse" and the paradisiac beach "Maldive del Salento" (15 km). Santa Maria di Leuca is located about 32 km towards the south.
