When we first visited this property, we identified ourselves as attentive explorers and imagined the memorable travel experiences it would offer: the vast garden with its varied spaces, the charming pool, the spacious and numerous rooms inside, the significant elements of comfort, and the precious surrounding area. The big picture is just as important as the details. According to Leonardo da Vinci himself, “the details make perfection and perfection is not a detail”. So let's see this villa in detail. The outdoor area extends mainly to the front, in the centre of which a large driveway lined with trees and plants leads to the villa. On the right, a large parking area, and on the left, an old well. In front of the villa, on the left, other parking spaces (for 3 to 4 cars), shaded under a wooden roof, and delimited by beautiful columns in carparo (traditional natural stone). A few steps lead to the large covered terrace, overlooking the greenery and the pool area, equipped with everything you need (kitchen with 5-burner stove, fridge, dishwasher, large table, chairs, barbecue, etc.). The villa is designed to accommodate groups, who wish to stay together while having independent and intimate spaces. Indeed, the villa offers 3 entrances, two at the front and one at the back. From the main entrance, the hall is pierced with openings on 4 sides. On the left is a large and very bright bedroom with a double bed, a sofa bed, 2 windows, and furnished with a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. On the right, a cozy and perfectly furnished double bedroom. Continuing on we have the corridor, transversal, which connects another sleeping area on the right, with the large living room on the left. It also has a rear access, which, when open, creates a visual directrix between the entrance and the back pool. In the sleeping area there are two beautiful double bedrooms and a large bathroom (glass shower box and toilet). On the other side, the corridor opens into the living room with a large table with chairs, a stone fireplace and various furniture and comfort elements. From the living room, you will access the fully equipped indoor kitchen, another bathroom with shower, then a marble staircase with an elegant wrought iron handrail. Once on the upper floor, you'll find two other bedrooms. One with double bed and armchair, that has a large glass wall that overlooks the staircase. The second is the largest of the 6 bedrooms and has 1 double bed and 1 double sofa bed, as well as a spacious adjoining bathroom with a very particular shower. This environment has its own private terrace with countryside views. The pool area is as pleasant day and night. A large pool of 7 metres by 14 with a fixed depth of 1.4 metres. On the one hand, a beautiful stone corner staircase and on the other side, a wide edge under the surface which will delight little ones and help relax grown-ups: the former will use it as a springboard to dive and the latter will bask under the caresses of the hydromassage waterfall jets. Around the pool, several solarium areas with deckchairs, parasols, table and chairs. Two very practical outdoor showers have been placed on the exterior wall of the fourth bathroom. In summary, 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms with shower, one of which has access from the outside, as well as two outdoor showers near the swimming pool.
This precious villa is located more or less halfway between San Cassiano and Poggiardo. The former village is known, among other things, for its renowned pastry shop, where you will taste a myriad of typical specialties from Salento. The latter, larger village has a beautiful historic centre and excellent restaurants. You will be very close to the Adriatic coast: Santa Cesarea Terme, its beautiful seafront promenade and its thermal complex; Porto Miggiano and its magnificent sandy cove; the Zinzulusa cave, one of the largest in southern Italy; then Castro, with its medieval historic centre perched on a hill (where the castle organizes cultural events), its pretty marina and its numerous fish restaurants; and another of the most beautiful coves in the region, Cala dell'Acquaviva (a marvelous rocky cove with easy access, so called for the freshness of its waters thanks to the underwater surge of freshwater).
