This historic estate built in 1741 is steeped in history. Once called home by Charles F. Warwick, Philadelphia's mayor (circa 1895), it has had many purposes over the years. It is central to many attractions: the famous Bucks County Wine Trail; Sesame Place, Parx Casino, Philadelphia, countless microbreweries, Peddler's Village, Great Adventure, Lancaster, Washington Crossing, New Hope, Garden of Reflection, Pennsbury Manor, Parry Mansion, Longwood Gardens, Philadelphia Zoo and much more!
The space
Large pool and hot tub!
Your suite is private and is located on the first floor of a 6000 square foot estate. Your suite is not shared with the main house - it is a separate entity with it's own entrance, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom etc. There is central heat and air-conditioning via mini-split systems. There is one bedroom with a queen sized bed, a dining area, a living room with a queen sized sleeper sofa and an ottoman with a twin sized pull out bed, one bathroom with a tub/shower and a full sized washer and dryer. There is an attached private deck for your exclusive use with a table, umbrella, four chairs and a gas grill. There is also a furnished gazebo and a raised, illuminated deck with a table and chairs. There is a large, heated pool with waterfalls and fountains in the back yard. The pool is sometimes shared with one other suite and my husband and me. There are beautifully well-maintained flower gardens seasonally throughout the front and back yards. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe.
Guest access
There is free parking near the deck of your suite for two (2) cars. Overflow parking is located at the garage at the back of the estate on Hill Ave. Please use the overflow lot if you have more than two cars or have a guest visiting. Please do not park a 3rd car (even temporarily) near your suite. There are 2 parking spots designated: two for you and one for another guest (in another location). No exceptions since I do not wish for either party to be inconvenienced. There is plenty of parking on the estate in other locations.
The deck attached to your suite is private and for your use exclusively. There is a gate located off the deck that leads to the pool and gardens areas. Off the deck to your left is a hot tub. Please abide by the rules associated with the pool and hot tub. The pool, hot tub and gardens area are sometimes shared with my husband and me and two other suites. Pool hours are between 12 and 5 unless you request an extension. Just please check with me first.
