House and surroundings
House of the eighteenth century, located in the small and quiet village of Orriols(161 inhabitants), Bascará.
Next to the house there is a square with play space (swings and basketball and football court). The village is geographically located in about 30 minutes by car to the towns of Figueres, Banyoles, Girona and the beaches of L'Escala, Costa Brava.
Of the town we can highlight the medieval castle (S. XVI - XVII) of very remarkable Renaissance façade.
Activities
This quiet town invites us to make excursions to the most important points of cultural interest in the province such as: Girona (Jewish quarter, Cathedral) at 25 km, Figueres (Dalí museum, toy museum) at 19 km. lthe beaches of l'Escala (Costa Brava) are only 20 kmaway.
If we are interested in nature we can visit the Natural Park 'Aiguamolls de l'Empordà', the nature reserve of 'l'Estany' of Banyoles or the Marine Reserve of the Medes Islands in L'Estartit. We can not miss the opportunity to visit one of the Greek and Roman archaeological remains of the ancient colony of Empúries, the most important in the Western Mediterranean.
And all this without forgetting the great gastronomic range of these regions all watered with a range of red, white wines of the Denomination of Origin 'Empordà', all of them of a very good and high quality. How you can see a whole range of possibilities to the supply of your hands.
