Centrally located just steps down cobblestone streets to restaurants,Cantinas,the town square, great view of Lake Chapala from the 3rd floor bedroom, bathroom,Cantina.Fully furnished with brand new beds,toilets and water heater.Only 1 mile from an amazing water park, Walmart and movie theater. Ajijic has a great climate,vibrant arts scene and only a 1 hour drive from the world famous Guadalajara Zoo.A 4 hour drive to world class sport fishing in Manzanillo or the Fire and Ice volcanos of Colima.
The space
This was my Father's retirement home and the art and vibe of his Hippie days in San Francisco is still there. While he wasn't much of a Father to me or my siblings, he was an interesting character in my opinion. A published in Rolling Stone rock and roll Photographer, a computer programmer when computers were in their infancy, a conventional Artist with paints and pencils, he was also a ground breaking artist using computer technology to distort photographic images into what he called "Space Age Art". He was an early consumer of psychedelic drugs and lived that way well into his 70s. He loved Ajijic and it's hedonistic lifestyle, in his later years refusing to adapt his lifestyle into what was culturally acceptable in the USA. While he and I didn't get along well while he was around? Now that he is gone I miss him and would like to preserve his legacy instead of just liquidating it by sharing his home and his love for Ajijic with Strangers.

The entire house is yours to use, other than the carport which is occupied by my Dad's car. please keep an eye on your small children as the stairs could be dangerous for small children or elderly people.
Other things to note
There is not off street parking provided and on street parking is scarce. The bus stop on the main road is only a block away but most everything you need is within walking distance or you can Uber.
I just made a significant investment in a state of the art whole house water filtration system that also has ultraviolet light that kills bacteria and also a pump to increase water throughout the house so guests will have plenty of hot, purified water at their disposal. Most recent improvements include high speed fiber optic internet with WiFi on all 3 floors, 2 new, large,smart TVs with Netflix. I screened in the entire cantina and installed new screens on the windows so no more mosquitoes or flys in the house. A gas heater in the master bedroom, new recliner in the living room.
