The very spacious, yet cosy, Casita Carmelo is located on the fringe of the village of Haría, in the northern part of Lanzarote, ideal for peaceful and relaxing holidays, the perfect getaway for busy and creative people. The Casita is decorated in soft, tasteful colours that reflect the earth tones of Lanzarote, the discreet, romantic lighting brings calm to this sometimes crazy world. The Casita has a sunken bedroom with a heavenly comfortable double bed in Lanzarote with excellent mattress, a good night's sleep is the most essential ingredient of an enjoyable holiday. There is a full en-suite shower room with Cesar Manrique-style shower, bidet, WC and washbasin. From the bedroom are steps up to the pretty sitting/dining room with rustic kitchen with views up to the surrounding hillside blanketed in flowers during the springtime. The kitchen has fridge/freezer, coffee maker, toaster, gas hob and all the cutlery the chef could need to conjure up a delicious culinary masterpiece. Lanzarote is famous for excellent meat, charcuterie, seafood and fresh fish. In the Casita there is a TV monitor for dvds, with a small selection of dvds supplied, and for those who like to keep up with the news in their home countries for example, we recommend bringing a laptop to make the most of the good Wi-Fi signal. The terrace doors lead onto a very large and private terrace with sun all day, a sun bathing area overlooking the fabulous César Manrique-inspired swimming pool, 10 m x 6 m, (shared with Casita Susi), and and two al fresco dining areas, ideal for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The local shops, restaurants, bars and village square are a mere 5-minute stroll (500 m), away, literally just around the corner. The Casita is surrounded by rolling hills with pretty, wild flowers during the springtime, excellent for hikers, many trails are now signposted but one can pretty-well roam anywhere, just don’t tread on the local produce growing green and lush in the rich Lanzarote soil. Close by too are many of Lanzarote's favorite son César Manrique's incredible architectural attractions. Any questions on this great man will be answered with pride by the extremely friendly Lanzarote locals, always ready with a smile for the visitors to their island. The owners of Casita Carmelo with their extensive design experience are very knowledgeable, too, on this fantastic human being. The weather in Lanzarote is usually very comfortable with the prevalent north-easterly winds keeping the temperatures at around a pleasant 28/30 degrees in the summer and 16/20 degrees in the wintertime. During the winter months it is often lovely and warm in the sun but, it can be a bit chilly early mornings and evenings so it is worth bringing warm jackets, fleeces etc. As with Casita Susi, all linen is supplied, including beach towels to help with your luggage allowance. The owners live on site so any queries or problems can be dealt with immediately and with a big friendly smile, and they are never in your face but always very discreet. They are also full of interesting information as they have lived here for 25 years and they will give you plenty of tips to ensure you have a relaxing and stress-free holiday. In the winter months, heating is available for a small fee for the gas bottles, please speak to the owners direct should you need this facility. There are also warm blankets for the bed (in winter), and throws for sitting outside by the pool.
