Herdsman Cottage is off-market for 2024, but please visit our sister property, Bull Barn Cottage, right next door.
The historic renovation effort, completed in 2006, has created an easy and comfortable home away from home in the Herdsman Cottage. Sleeping six, this beautifully remodeled cottage has three bedrooms and two-and-a-half-bath, and accommodates guests with one king-sized bed, and two full beds. The primary bedroom includes a fireplace (non-functioning) and an en suite bathroom. There are flat screen TVs in the living room and both bedrooms upstairs.
The cozy living room is complete with a fireplace, and the kitchen is fully-stocked to help make meal prep a breeze. Dine together at the six-person table and recount the day’s events. Relax on the back deck in one of the lounge chairs and admire the view of the rolling mountains. Guests have access to the Old Dairy Community Center located across the street which includes a seasonal outdoor pool, large indoor hot tub, and fitness room. **Please be advised that Old Dairy access is limited due to COVID-19, and will not be available if there is an event.** Herdsman Cottage is conveniently located in close proximity to the area attractions, including the Milk House Market, the Jefferson Pools, and only a 10 minute drive to the Homestead Resort.
For your convenience, the cottage includes a washer and dryer and free Wi-Fi. We encourage you to bring your four-legged friend, as dogs are accommodated for an additional $100 non-refundable pet fee for 1 dog and $50 for a second.
Please note that guests must be 21 years of age to rent this property.

Résumé: Even the drive out there was beautiful! The house is very clean and beautiful and you can tell there is a lot of attention to the smaller details. There kitchen was well supplied. The home is about a 30 second drive from the Warm Springs bath houses which made the visit to the springs that much more enjoyable. There is a hot tub at the neighboring "Dairy" facility/event space which looked pretty lovely too. We were there in the middle of the week and it was Very quiet. The management was fair and easy to work with. There was a bit of a typo in the initial posting, but when we called it to the owners' attention, they were willing to make a one-time exception for us and then update the listing. (Had to do with bringing my cat - though in the end she didn't come, so the facility is still cat-free.) Thank you for a lovely Birthday Retreat! Blessings.
