The Shropshire market town of Whitchurch is just a ten-minute drive away, with architecture dating from medieval, Tudor and Georgian times. The town hosts a food and drink festival every May. A short walk from the town centre takes you to the Llangollen Canal, which has a unique flight of seven locks.
Chester is a bustling town where you’ll find plenty of contemporary high street names and brands, but there’s also a wealth of history here. The Romans knew the city as Deva, and it’s still home to the largest Roman amphitheatre in Britain. The two-storey Rows are the place to come for shopping.
