This charming newly renovated tiny home cottage nestled in the foothills of the Cumberland Plateau, sits on twenty-four acres, below Sewanee.
A short 4.5-mile drive to the University of the South, makes it a great base for alumni and parents to stay while visiting the area or a place to explore local attractions like the Sewanee Memorial Cross, hiking trails in Sewanee and Monteagle, Tims Ford Lake and State Park, a concert at The Caverns, Monteagle, Lynchburg and Jack Daniel's Distillery, and others attractions or simply get away from city life.
Semi-secluded and surrounded by mountain views on 3 sides and a private pond on the other, you may want to stay put, fish in our pond, relax and enjoy the views.
Take in great sunrises and stunning sunsets with a cup of coffee, or a glass of wine while visiting with family or friends. Night-time views filled with enough stars for the whole family to hang a wish on.
This beautiful home has been recently renovated and displays a spacious living area, 2 bedrooms and a private full bath, a half-bath and laundry room.
Enjoy peace, quiet, and privacy. Complete privacy is yours as you relax on the deck, on the patio, or down by the pond. Beyond the property are 100+ acres of undeveloped land and another 16 acres in front of the house. It is very quiet and a great opportunity to disconnect and let your worries slip away.
The open living space features a full-size sleeper sofa, a comfortable chair and ottoman, TV, DVD/Blu-Ray player, movies and the dining room table and chairs. A fully equipped kitchen with new Whirlpool appliances, range, full-size refrigerator, microwave, state-of-the-art water filter, a mixer, a blender, and a coffee machine that takes ground coffee or K cups. Hot chocolate, tea, coffee, ice, dishware, cutlery, pots and pans, kitchen utensils, spices and some cooking essentials are also provided for your use.
The cottage comprises of a main bedroom with a Queen size bed and private bathroom. The second bedroom includes twin bunk beds and a trundle bed. There is a pull-out sofa in the living room for extra sleeping space. There's an adjacent half bathroom and laundry room with full size washer, dryer and if you need an ironing board and iron. Laundry products are provided.
The cabin will sleep a maximum of 7 people. Infants and toddlers in a portable crib count towards this limit. All linens, towels and toiletries are provided during your stay. Disinfecting is always part of our cleaning routine and meets CDC Guidelines. Please ensure ALL remotes are left on the premises. Any remote missing will be subject to a replacement charge.
Want some smores? We have the firewood! A fire pit is located on the patio, along with a gas grill. Another firepit is located by the pond.

The cottage is all yours! Self-Check with Keypad Lock. It is larger than expected. Parking space for 3 vehicles is provided next to the house for easy access.
This listing gives access to the house, back and front yard, and the pond with its surroundings. Please be considerate and do not walk on the hay fields during growing and harvest season. For your safety we do not allow guests into pastures or animal pens without being accompanied and supervised by a host. Do not enter closed gates without permission. Do not attempt to go through or climb over fences. Vegetable garden on the property is strictly for owner's use. We live in the Main House on the property, in the front of the land. Access to the property/field in the front, front pond, and its buildings is not allowed for this listing unless authorized by the owners/hosts.
Regarding cleaning fee: After every guest departure (independent of the number of nights), the house is completely wiped down and sanitized. Along with the basics (bathroom cleaned, clean towels, clean sheets, etc...), every surface is wiped down including doorknobs, floors, refrigerator, etc... Everything is thoroughly cleaned so you can enjoy your stay in an exceptionally clean environment! We don't use bleach or harsh chemicals in consideration of guests with chemical sensitivities, but we use a top-of-the-line disinfectant. We meet CDC Cleaning Guidelines.
