Welcome to your home away from home. This space serves as a getaway from the busy daily life, and offers you an opportunity to connect with yourselves as well as with nature. There are 2 bedrooms and sleeps up to 4 people. It is perfect for couples, friends, and family stays. Please kindly note that we don't allow pets. The neighbourhood is close to multiple hiking trails, beaches, and attractions. You are also only 10-minute drive from ferry, and blocks away from groceries and restaurants.
• ABOUT YOUR SPACE •
Built in the 60s, this house is well loved and the guest suite is renovated with special attention to the natural beauty of the West Coast. We acknowledge the butterfly effect of climate change and the importance of being in tune with Mother Earth. Most of the structure and furniture are up-cycled or local vintage-find to support local businesses and help reduce overall carbon footprints.
- The intention for this space is to be a mini retreat for you and your loved ones to relax, have all the time to enjoy the island, and be more grounded to keep moving forward.
There is no TV or cool high tech. This is intentional to encourage you to unplug from the modern city life and connect with nature instead. We do have strong Wifi, as well as dedicated work spaces.
- Your suite offers an open-concept kitchen and living-dining area. It is perfect for you to gather, have meaningful conversations, play board games, or just to wind down and enjoy the mindful moments.
There are many books and board games prepared.
- The kitchen is simple but comfortably furnished. It is stocked with coffee (grounded) and teas. The closest coffee shops are only within 5-minute drive.
- There are 2 bedrooms with double beds. Extra beddings and throws can be found in the closet.
Did we mention that there are lots of deers and rabbits in this neighbourhood?

• ABOUT YOUR HOSTS •
Hi friends, we are Tom and Alex. We are a young couple working in health and wellness. Our space is upstairs and your guest suite with separate entrance is downstairs.
We respect your privacy during your stay, but we are only a phone call away if you need help with anything.
The only one required in-person interaction is at check-in when you first arrive. This is because we want to welcome you and walk you through the space.
If you are up for a treatment for stress relief, body pain relief, and deep relaxation, reach out to us to book an energy healing session :) Alex is a Reiki & Sound healing practitioner, and the healing space is right upstairs.
• OTHER NOTES •
1. RECYCLING: it is MANDATORY to sort your compost and recycling. This is a simple way to show our respect to Nature and to the hardworking city staff. Every city is a bit different, as such we attach the guidelines along with your Welcome package.
There are sorting bins provided to you in the guest suite.
2. SAFETY & SECURITY:
• Security camera: there are 2 cameras - 1 under the carport looking out to carport and drive way, and 1 on the sun deck looking out to backyard.
• Alarm: there are smoke alarms in the suite and no carbon monoxide alarm as there's nothing running on gas.
• First aid kit, fire extinguisher: located in the laundry room.
3. POTENTIAL FOR NOISE: You might hear muffled noise from upstairs, happy kids playing outside, or buses running.
• HOUSE RULES •
The general idea is please treat this space like how you would like your home to be treated. "Leave the world a little better than you found it" :)

1. NO parties or loud events. Do NOT use the premise for any illegal activities
Failure to comply immediately results in cancellation of reservation with NO refund
2. NO unregistered overnight guests without an approval from the host
3. Not suitable for pets
4. No smoking, vaping in and outside of the premise. Failure to comply results in a penalty of $100
5. NO access to the off-limits areas:
• The upstairs: the door connecting up and downstairs is always look. Alarm will sound if door is open without authorization.
• In the suite: The locked Harry-Potter-room under the stairs. It's just a storage, nothing fancy.
• In the backyard: the sheds in the corner. It's for storage
6. Respect the neighborhood:
• Noise: please keep noise level minimal after 10PM
• Parking: please be mindful of designated numbers of car allowed and parking spots
• Litter: NO littering
7. Home care:
• This is a NO shoes house. All shoes must be taken off at entry. Please understand this takes substantial extra time to clean afterwards
• Security: do NOT tamper with or remove the 2 cameras that have been appropriately disclosed
• Cleanliness: if the space is left in a state that requires EXTRA cleaning effort (dirty, trash everywhere, stained linens/towels), it will result in penalty of $100
• Laundry: 1 load/week.
8. Prior to your check out:
• Late checkout past 11am without host's consent: $60/hour
• Used dinnerware, pans and pots, etc. need to be washed prior to your check out. Ok to leave them on the rack or counter
• Remove all your belongings and any food prior to your checkout. Don't forget your phone!
• Trash/Recycling: please refer to Welcome package. This is MANDATORY and if the sorting is not appropriate, penalty is $60
• Laundry: please leave used towels in the washroom. Please do NOT remove beddings as our cleaner will take care of it
