The Space:
Forest View Cottage sits in the tranquil and rural town of Jiaoxi, the Northern Section of Yilan County, with large frame windows providing amazing landscape views and starry night skies, making you feel relaxed in a small and sustainable environment. If you plan to drive up to Yilan County for a day trip, you can find popular attractions including Kavalan Distillery , Waiao Beach and Taipingshan National Forest Recreational Area.
A comfortable 155 square-feet accommodation with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.
The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, including a flush toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water through using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surroundings including the public facilities in the park, except for the private space of the forest hut. There is a mountain spring and a cool waterfall, which is one of the favourite downtimes for summer tourists.

Forest View Cottage sits in the tranquil and rural town of Jiaoxi, the Northern Section of Yilan County. With mountains, hot and cold springs, waterfalls, and gorgeous beaches all within easy reach, the surroundings around Yilan County is the kind of place you can just soak in and enjoy!
Our local recommendations:
- Longtan Baozi is a very popular steamed stuffed bun shop that starts queuing up at 6:00 every morning. Do head over before noon to get more steamed bun varieties!
- Du Xiao Yue Restaurant is set in a pseudo-traditional inn offering authentic traditional Taiwan cuisine.
- Linmei Shipan Trail is a 1.7-kilometer-long quiet circular hiking trail that takes you to scenic waterfalls, lush forests, and clean fresh air to enjoy.
- Tonghou Traversing Trail is a hiking trail that takes you to spectacular mountains, canyon cliffs, lush woods, and other natural wonders.
Nearby attractions:
Kavalan Distillery is the most visited distillery in the world, with open space tasting rooms and introductions to Taiwan’s whiskey giant.
Waiao Beach features long, flat sandy beaches and constant waves, making it one of Taiwan’s most happening surfing destinations.

- 1.5 hrs drive away from Taipei City and New Taipei City
- 62 km drive from Taipei Songshan Airport, map shows it can be reached in 1 hr, 9 mins to arrive
- 105 km drive from Taoyuan International Airport, map shows that it takes about 1 hr, 28 mins to arrive
Both 2WD and 4WD cars can easily reach the destination, and 95% of the roads are asphalt roads which are surprisingly smooth.

- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our flush toilets, a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
