This villa, in which I would spend my holidays with pleasure has one fantastic private swimming pool: the pool of 200mq has various depths between 1.2 to 3.8 meters. It is surrounded by a relaxation area with sun beds. Entering from the main gate, you will notice with pleasure the symbiosis, between the present vegetation and the elegant construction, with a staggered elevation, which gives movement and grace to the building. The garden develops in various areas. We find various ornamental trees and flowers, interspersed with fruit-bearing plants. At the rear, a path with a pergola leads into the orchard with an adjoining citrus grove. You can therefore enjoy fresh fruit, at km 0 and just picked, in numerous periods of the year; In fact there are: pomegranate, figs, manderini, lemons, oranges, grapes, medlars, mulberries, peaches, cherries, persimmons, apricots and others tasty gifts from mother nature. If you want to organize a barbecue, no less than 2 stone barbecues are available: next to the equipped veranda or, next to the annex, next to the pool. The outdoor area, thanks to the large paved areas, the veranda, is designed for outdoor events, even with music. Please note: the safety fence around the pool shown in the photos is no longer in place.Externally we further note 3 shower, of which two are between the swimming pool and the annexe and a third, among olive trees and prickly pears, facing West (you can cool off by admiring the horizon and the romantic Salento sunsets, breathing in the Mediterranean scents ). This villa is in a beautiful area, as Corigliano d'Otranto is an important and lively village of the lower Salento. Despite this, given its beauty, it represents a destination in itself. The working front fountain from the Mussolini era anticipates a careful study of the interior spaces. There is the main body, of about 250 square meters and the Depandance, of 50. In the primary nucleus we find 3 floors, of which the ground floor and the basement, have independent accesses. Between these and the Depandance, several families or large groups can coexist, in serenity, comfort and harmony. The villa is still entrusted to a single holiday group. The first floor consists of two bright bedrooms, one with its own balcony (garden view) and a full bathroom. The ground floor is, for the most part, a wonderful open space. It has a fireplace, an East window and two entrances, one of which overlooks the porch with a large Lecce stone barbecue and a table for 12 people. From here, an enchanting panoramic view of the wonderful swimming pool and the rear garden. Present on the ground floor, there is also a large double bedroom with period furniture and a beautiful full bathroom (shower and toilet). The basement consists of a open space tavern with built-in kitchen tiled with fine hand-painted tiles, in Italy, of Veneto terracotta). There are also: large fireplace, bathroom, double bed. All with independent exit. Spaced from the main building and adjacent to the pool area, there is a large annexe. This one has: double bedroom, complete bathroom, living room with kitchen, outside equipped area (table, chairs, Leccese stone barbecue).

Just outside Corigliano d'Otranto: market, banks, post office, newsagent's, tobacconist's, various shops, excellent restaurants and trattorias (the municipality is famous in Salento for the excellence of its culinary tradition). Also in Corigliano, an imposing medieval castle currently used in a modern key (renamed 'Castello Volante', it hosts dance parties and events in its characteristic setting). The municipal villa is very pretty, various philosophical maxims are scattered along the promenade. Next to it is a playground for the little ones. To the sides, there are numerous excellent restaurants, pubs and disco pubs. Returning to the beautiful property we are proposing, on foot, there is a path leading to the Sogliano pine forest, which is very beautiful. Inside the pine forest there is a riding school that organises horse riding excursions, whose manager's contact details we can give you. The owner loved going for rides on horseback, accompanied by her children, in these enchanted corners of Salento's nature. The renowned fine sandy beaches of the Adriatic (San Foca, Torre Dell'Orso, Otranto) or Ionian (Gallipoli, Santa Maria al Bagno) coastline are about 15 minutes away by car. If the weather is bad, Lecce awaits to amaze you in the shadow of the Baroque and its characteristic narrow streets in the historic centre. For a day of excellent food in a beautiful natural setting, we recommend 'La Cutura' with its renowned flower garden. Towards Otranto, then, you can enjoy typical dishes and see the small zoos present, at 'Scalelle', or at the 'Fattoria'. For a cultural excursion, you can reach the Marta Museum in Taranto in about an hour.
