Résumé: We were really looking forward to this holiday we booked with Vrbo because we knew though through TV adverts we would get an uninterrupted quite holiday with no one to annoy us I have stage four cancer a my wife is overcoming blood clots to lungs any pnumonia and recently out of hospital this holiday was really needed all was OK the flight was nearly an hour late landing at 1655 instead of 1604 and then had to pick up a hire car we at the airport left at 5:55 we rang the owner of the property and said we will be late and we were to meet him at a property between 1800 and 1930 we told him it would be at least 1900 to 1930 as we had at least a mile or so on a journey unfortunately I took a wrong turn to Santa Cruz and it took me an hour to get out as I was unfamiliar with the city the property was hard to find in la orotava and phoned the owner he was not happy and was ignorant to me on the phone I tried to ring up again but he would not answer booking time in was between 1600 to 2200 so we were in our time zone we at long last had help from a local after making an ask him many locals who did not know where the place was these people are set to follow them and we arrived at 2045 I got out of the car and found the gates locked on install car coming outdoor lane about 25 metres up the road and a man with long white hair got out the car and shouted that this is not the entrance this would be owner Colorado he was very angry and loud and said he had been trying to communicate with us without any joy but I had spoken to him earlier and that his family were waiting for him and his 92 year old mother for Christmas dinner we went up to the property and were given no help to hold 23 kilogrammes suitcases up several steps in the dark with no lights even though lights were fitted we were shown to a door and to an apartment and was told there was another three apartments 1 belonging to him It occupied the whole second floor we complained and said we were not happy my wife was furious the way we had been treated up to this point we said VRBO was a sole only property and he said I could not have it as a whole sole property and I said that's what I expected from VRBO and my wife said we booked through VRBO and did not expect to be showing our property with three other apartments and he said you saw you knew what you were getting if you are and until I shouted over to him what should I do with the keys as one opened
