Located in the heart of Deià, this traditional Majorcan house was once a school. The property was recently completely renovated to modernise its facilities whilst retaining its original character. The house has wooden beams and terracotta floors throughout and the old well is still a feature in the kitchen. There are spectacular views of the Tramuntana mountains from the private rooftop terrace, and a beautiful secluded patio with hot tub to the rear of the property.
This magical home is just steps away from a wealth of restaurants, bars and shops, and the renowned luxury Belmond la Residencia Hotel.
ACCOMMODATION AND LAYOUT
Ground Floor
The main living areas are found on the ground floor. On entering the house we come to a large and beautifully decorated open plan living and dining area with fireplace. The spacious, fully equipped kitchen – with modern touch-control ceramic hob, stainless steel oven and microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle and juicer – is accessed from both the dining and living areas.
There is also a separate utility room with washing machine, dryer, sink, iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner.
First Floor
Here we find the large master bedroom with king size bed and large bathroom with walk-in shower, as well as its own small sitting room with a desk, two sofas, TV and fireplace.
This floor also houses a second double bedroom with a desk and a bathroom with shower outside the bedroom.
Second Floor
Up on the second floor there is another large bedroom with king size bed and a chaise longue, as well as a third bathroom with shower.
This level provides access to the rooftop terrace, and stunning views of Deià and the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range.
OUTDOORS
To the rear of the property is a beautiful, very private patio garden which can be accessed from the ground floor.
This patio, with its plant-covered stone walls and colourful plant pots, is the perfect spot for a siesta in the afternoon or a relaxing soak in the jacuzzi.
Its dining table for eight will allow you to enjoy a barbecue or a romantic candle-lit drink under the stars.
Information:
All fees shown are inclusive of taxes and other costs. Payment of a 30% of the total rental fees is required for your rental to be confirmed. The remaining 70% together with the security deposit, must be paid 60 days prior to arrival or the initial 30% deposit will not be refunded. When a booking is made with less than 6 weeks in advance to your arrival, the total booking fee will be due.
Arrival and departure. Check-in is between 16:00 and 19:00; check-out by 10:00. Should you require to arrive or leave earlier or later, you must request this at the time of the booking. We will endeavour to accommodate your request; however, this will depend on availability, and an additional fee may be incurred.
Cancellations. Cancelling 6 weeks or more prior to your arrival date will entitle you to a refund of 70% of the rental fee. The 30% deposit is non refundable. Cancellations made less than 6 weeks prior to the planned arrival date will mean that no refund can be given, and the full rental amount will be withheld.
Additional information.The minimum stay in Mallorca is 7 nights. The property is fully equipped, including bedlinen and towels.
