The yurt is directly off of the Blue Ridge Parkway and settles above a scenic mountain with an outside fire pit. It is pet friendly, and we have a gate at the deck entrance, for your pets convenience. This yurt is in the woods, but within 100 yards of the BRPW. You will wish to stay longer, it is so comfortable. It is near lots of points of interest in the area. The location is convenient, only 2 miles from the intersection of the BRPW and hwy 52. There is a nearby cottage and another yurt below, with trees and privacy fencing between the two. The yurt has a combination great room and kitchen, a gas log fireplace, a small loft with a queen size memory foam mattress bed, a huge bathroom, and a hot tub on the deck. There is a flat screen tv with a minimum of 30 channels and a DVD player. The yurt is heated with one built in Eheater, a gas log heater and a minisplit for summer ac and winter heat if additional heat is needed.
The complete yurt is yours during your reservation. It is kept incredibly clean and you will have fresh towels, linens and blankets. plenty of cooking and dining supplies are providex. Please enjoy all the nearby hiking and great access for road bikers to the BRPW. wifi is availble at no cost.
The hiking, mountain biking and fishing on the famous New River Trail, kayaking in the New River, or just relaxing are a few fun things to do. The Blue Ridge Music Center is a few miles away and it has a nice hiking area too. There is zip lining in the area that is the best! right across from the winery and picnic areas available. Deer, bear, and other wildlife are in abundance. The Devils Den Preserve is 1 mile from the yurt.
