Welcome to Lakin' It Easy! From the moment you step inside the cabin, you will enjoy panoramic lake views from nearly every room in the house!
Indian Lake is a quiet, family-friendly lake nestled in the heart of the Laurel Highlands in Somerset County. It is the perfect spot for relaxation. Sip your morning coffee from our two-story dock or your glass of wine under the stars from the wraparound deck.
You will enjoy fishing, paddle boarding and kayaking on the water by day and enjoy a fire in our outdoor firepit at the water's edge at night. You will also find a hammock and porch swing near the deck, outside the walkout master bedroom.
Layout:
The main level features a kitchen with brand-new stainless steel refrigerator with door water/ice, stainless steel dishwasher and stove/oven. A small beverage refrigerator is hidden in the kitchen island as well. A vaulted ceiling family room, dining table, 4 seasons room with foosball table, two queen bedrooms, full bathroom and a loft space with 4 twin beds suitable for children. (The loft space is above the main living area and listed as a common space in the bedroom layout. It is comfortable for up to 4 children.)
The lower level has an expansive master bedroom, where you can lay in the king bed and look at the lake - a true dream! There is a full bathroom as well and a walkout to the lower patio, porch swing, hammock and bistro set for your morning coffee escape.
Outside:
There are 2 kayaks (one adult and one child) and 2 paddle boards available for use. Life jackets are also provided. You may bring fishing poles to fish off the dock. The fire pit, along with a supply of firewood is lakeside. Two mountain pie irons and a hot dog fork are available for use. The expansive backyard is perfect for playing and there are 5 Adirondack chairs as well. Feel free to bring your own camping chairs if you prefer. There is access to the water from two sets of stairs off the dock and a slide into the water as well. Lots of floats to enjoy swimming and lounging on the lake.
The wraparound deck has a table and patio furtniture, along with a gas grill.

Inside:
Fully equipped kitchen, Keurig and Always-on 12-cup coffee pot. Crockpot, griddle, 4-slice toaster and all dishes/glassware. Basic spices and oils provided. Kcups are also provided on the coffee bar, along with sugar and Splenda. Hot teas and honey are also included on the coffee bar.
Wireless Internet and Cable TV provided. Living room TV is a smart television with guest access to Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Netflix. There is also a cable TV and DVD player in the master bedroom on the lower level.
In the living room, make a game night out of the ample supply of games and puzzles.
The wood burning fireplace is currently unavailable for 2022-2023.
General:
Towels and bed linens provided. Small washer and dryer is available for guest use.
The Indiana Lake Area:
Indian Lake is a private lake, with over 200 acres of land and a 20 mile shoreline. The lake is home to two, 18-hole Arnold Palmer Golf Courses along with the Indian Lake Marina. Call to schedule a tee time at either of the golf courses. The Indian Lake Lodge is just a few hundred feet away and has a taproom bar, restaurant and game room. The Flight 93 Memorial is just a few miles away. Make a day of visiting Flight 93, the Memorial Chapel and then stop at Forbes Trail Brewing Company next to Flight 93.
Enjoy a walk through the woods on Jaymes McIntire Trail, inside Indian Lake property. 7 Springs Ski Resort is 23 miles away and Glades Pike Winery is 22. The Silver Drive-in movie theater on Scalp Avenue in Johnstown and only a 25 minute drive.
Policies:
-Indian Lake has a very strict and enforced policy on observing Quiet Hours after 11 PM. Any complainants issued will result in loss of security deposit.
-Absolutely NO SMOKING or vaping anywhere on the property. Inside or outside. Any violation of this will result in not receiving your security deposit back.
-No pets permitted on the premises.
-Must be 30 years old with a valid drivers license to book.
-There are outside video cameras on the property
-Upon booking, key code will be sent
-Indoor fireplace is not to be used
-Missing/damaged items, including towels, bedding, decor will be charged to renter
-Please report any broken or missing items to host upon arrival so you are not charged
-No parties
-No events
-No RV's or campers
-No more than 3 cars are permitted in the driveway
-No more than 6 adults and 4 children are permitted at anytime
-A 4-wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended during the winter months to access the property
