Our home has been renovated with attention to its midcentury character and is a unique and comfortable home with a light and airy feel. There is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy, and all you need for an enjoyable stay indoors! It's conveniently located close to main highways and public transport options, so all that Auckland has to offer is just a short drive or ride away.
INSIDE
Our 3 bedroom home is a character filled abode which has been renovated with creative flair and an appreciation for combining a midcentury flavour with modern conveniences.
It is well insulated and warm in winter, with a wood fire and heat transfer system, while in summer the indoor-outdoor flow and high stud ceilings keep it fresh and cool.
In the master bedroom there is a comfortable queen bed, and character freestanding wardrobes.
The second bedroom has a single bed, a built-in wardrobe, and plenty of toys you are welcome to use if you have children with you.
Bedroom 3 has a single bed under a built in loft bed. The loft bed is not ideal for very young children. Both beds have quality mattresses which are fine for adults!
The bathroom has a free standing claw foot bath as well as a separate enclosed shower, toilet and hand basin. There is also a heated towel rail.
There is a laundry off the hall with a washing machine and dryer, a clothesline in the backyard and an airer available for use too.
The living room is central in our home and a comfy place to put your feet up! We don’t have a TV but there are plenty of books and games to entertain you, and wifi access. There is a workspace off to the side if you need to keep up to date with things while on holiday.
The dining area is alongside the kitchen, with French doors opening to the back deck.
The kitchen is fully equipped and a great spot to watch the kids play in the backyard while you prepare dinner!
OUTSIDE
Our private section is fully fenced and safe for kids. Out the front is a trampoline, and out the back a deck for dining outdoors, an outdoor bath and a firepit.
There is plenty of room to park two cars securely off street.
PET CATS
We have two friendly but self-sufficient cats who are happy to share their home with you - Poppy was born in November 2016, and Molly in November 2018. If your stay is longer than a couple of nights they would appreciate you topping up their food and water and giving them cuddles!
As this is our family home we ask that you respect our privacy with any personal belongings that will be in the home. The garage is not accessible to guests.
