Summary:
Designed by Guadalajara architect Edgar Gómez, “Romero” blends Modern Minimalism with Zen. The goal to bring outdoors to indoors includes an Aztec inspired brick design in the patio garden, and a water feature in the building’s main entry with a Zen-like garden opening to the sky.
To access the apartment, from the street main entry you walk through the outdoor Zen garden and past a modern "Salon" common area where you can relax with the sound of running water in the background. Handmade artisan chairs and art are featured in this area. You then enter the apartment from a skylight filled corridor with custom artwork including two hand painted murals.
The apartment door opens to a modern kitchen with a seating area facing the garden. Each apartment gets its name from a flower or plant in their garden so go ahead and pick some fresh “Romero” or “Rosemary” from your garden and add it to a meal.
With pots and pans and ample kitchen products it’s easy to make yourself a cup of coffee or mix your favorite drink in the blender. Relax outdoors under the tree in the patio or nestle in the comfort of your queen size bed. Need extra sleeping space? There’s a pull out sofa bed.
Not quite ready to venture into the world? No problem. We understand. Drop down the window shade, cozy up on the sofa and open the bonbons. Your favorite shows are calling. With our free fiber-optic Internet you can watch TV shows in English and Spanish.
Built in 2021, other features include purified water throughout, two custom made closets with built-in reading lights, a sun filled bathroom with bath products, fluffy towels and a window overlooking the garden.

Located in Chula Vista, a community nestled in the hills away from the noise of Ajijic it is close to restaurants, outdoor cafes, movie theaters, coffee shops, a hospital and grocery stores. Originally built for rich Guadalajara families as a weekend getaway, Chula Vista has been discovered by architects, designers and young families who are renovating older homes into architectural gems. It is part of San Antonio Tlayacapan, a traditional Mexican town with younger businesses, considered by many as the up and coming “New East Ajijic”.
