Nearby is the unspoiled, characterful city of Angouleme (25km) plus many picturesque country walks, historical sites, quality restaurants and local amenities.
Waiting for the world to stop? Well it does here. Drive through the gates and hide behind the Charentais walls which encompass Maison de Mirabelle. You will immediately feel at ease, and begin relaxing as soon as you arrive. Noticing the peace and tranquillity and the relaxing warmth of the Charentais sun. listening to the coo of the doves nestling on the columned barn rooves. Watch the sunset over the barn rooves and listen to the purr of the white owl that frequents the gardens of Maison de Mirabelle in the starlit skies and balmy nights. Later still - look forward to retiring to bed and resting between crisp linen sheets.
During your visit take a short walk down to the River Charente and while the hours away watching the wildlife busying themselves in activities of their daily affairs. Or maybe canoeing in the river Charente for those livelier souls.
On other days, you can just relax by the pool at Maison de Mirabelle and reach across and drink beautiful wines and champagnes bottled at the local chateau, sampling fresh fruits and vegetables and produce from the local Market.

• Dining Room Ample comfortable seating with fireplace.
• Living room with antique tables and chairs and fireplace, TV & DVDs
First Floor:
• 4 bedrooms (1 Ensuite) complete with antique beds, high quality mattresses, occasional seating, bedside tables/lights, ensuite is complete with high-level toilet, roll top bath and twin basins
• At the end of the landing is a balcony overlooking the west side of the property with the pool and woodland area in view
• Main Bathroom complete with roll-top bath, high-level toilet, walk-in shower (Grohle Shower) and twin-basins
Outside:
• Pool Area: Pool 5x10m, Chlorine, Sun-loungers with cushions, dining area with parasol, BBQ, Lighting around the pool area. Pool tended to early morning by concierge.
• Gym: Free weights, rack & bench, spin bike, concept 2 rowing machines (erg), skipping ropes, yoga mats.
• Woodland area and garden 250m2 throughout the property, tended to early morning by the concierge.

Concierge live in an annex to the house but are completely separated to the main house; their facilities include their own kitchen bathroom and living. Their services would include cleaning the pool daily and maintaining the garden and, if required, delivery of fresh bread and pastries, all of which would be completed first thing in the morning. None of the facilities (pool, gym etc.) would be used by the concierge, they have their own separate drive and a garden area which is on the south corner of the house- all other areas are free to the guests' disposal.
