Résumé: We stayed in this apartment for six weeks in June and July. We had two adults and three kids. We really enjoyed our time in here and would stay here again in a second but there are a few things that a potential renter should know.The apartment is spread out over four levels. The ground floor has the kitchen, living room and a half bath. There is a small porch outside the living room with a wall of all windows. Unlike the pictures, there is no longer a window on the fireplace wall. The kitchen has a medium sized fridge, nice stove, dishwasher, and microwave. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and dishes. The laundry is downstairs as is the pool table and the garage entrance. The second floor has the main bath and two bedrooms. The bath has a shower and large tub. One of the bedrooms is a kid's room with a twin and crib. The upper story has two connected bedrooms. You have to walk through one to reach the other. We slept on the top and the kids split the two lower rooms. The beds were comfortable and the rooms nice. The apartment is one of a series of connected units in a row of units. The location is directly besides a railroad track for the commuter line. After a few days, we generally stopped noticing it, but it is always there. If you open the windows at night, you will hear it. If you are very sensitive to that type of thing, you will not be happy here. There is also no AC, but we were generally ok with fans. There is also no clothes dryer, so we hung clothes to dry. The garage is very tight, but we were able navigate it with a minivan. It is typical for Germany but tight for the US. There is one spot for the unit.The location is great. There are two very close lakes (walkable). A couple of walkable playgrounds for kids and a beirgarten with good food are close. There is a walkable grocery store and bus stop. There is no walkable train station, so you will need to take the bus or a bike. The location is also fairly close to BMW Weld and the Olympic Park.
