Situated on the world renowned Rideau Canal (a UNESCO world heritage site) minutes from the famous Rock Dunder and 5 minutes to restaurants and shopping.
One river kayak, two lake kayaks andone 4-person pedal-boat come with the rental! Boat or swim to the largest island to enjoy the sandy beach!
There is also an outdoor fire-pit, WiFi (25mbps) and a smart TV, no cable. The house sleeps 14 and 12 in the off-season as the one double sofa-bed is on the sun-porch which is not winterized. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a queen bed andtwo other bedrooms, each with a set of bunk beds, plus the sun-room with a double sofa-bed. Downstairs there are two bedrooms with queen beds and the rec-room with a queen sofa-bed, plus a full bathroom.
Please note that this home is for families. with a max of 8 adults allowed.The names, ages and addresses of all guests are required to book this property as well as license plate numbers for all vehicles that might be at the property. $800 security deposit required for each household that is coming to the cottage.

Résumé: We stayed at Whitefish Lodge for a family reunion. The house accommodated our large party well with plenty of bedrooms and several areas for gathering. The beds were comfortable and clean. However, our experience was hampered by several factors - the exterior is cluttered with junk and is very dirty, the railing on the deck is loose and unsafe, the swimming dock is unusable as it is broken and sinking, and the pedal boat was full of water with a ripped shade. In addition, we expected to have adequate essentials such as salt and pepper, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, hand soap and toilet paper. Overall, we observed a lack of attention to detail in comparison to other stays at VRBO rentals. It would not take much effort on behalf of the hosts to make this a 10/10 property.
