Maison de la Combe is one of the smartest restorations we’ve come across, carefully preserving its original features and double-height spaces for maximum impact. The décor is tastefully 21st century, turning the two double bedrooms into elegant modern retreats that would look quite at home in a chic little country hotel. Your only near neighbors are the owners, who have a house near to Maison de la Combe, but the pool and grounds remain private to our guests.

There are many historical towns and villages to explore near the villa. Pujols (15 miles) is a charming, fortified town classified as one of France’s 'most beautiful villages', while Villeneuve sur Lot (16 miles) is a lively town overlooking the Lot River with a pleasant pedestrian shopping area leading to a beautiful square.
Riverside Agen (24 miles) is a gastronomic center renowned for its famous prunes. For a longer day out, Bergerac and Bordeaux are 60 and 90 minutes away by car respectively. Wine lovers are spoilt for choice with the celebrated Bordeaux, Duras and Cahors regions all within easy reach.

From Bergerac Airport (1h15)
1. N21 towards Castillonès
2. 2km after Castillonès, turn right onto D416
3. Continue on D416 through Montauriol
4. After Montauriol, turn right onto D241 towards Monbahus
5. At Monbahus, turn right onto D124
6. At Tombeboeuf, turn left onto D667
7. After 8km, turn right onto D202
8. Wind your way on D202 towards Laparade, although it briefly becomes D101, then returns to calling itself D202!
9. Shortly before the village of Laparade, you will pass a water tower on your left, and then come to a small group of houses.
10. Slow down and, just before the last of these houses (new and wooden), turn left into a lane which leads up to Maison de la Combe.
From Bordeaux airport (1h30)
1. From the airport, follow signs for “Rocade” (which means ring road)
2. After three roundabouts, join Rocade (A630) towards: Arcachon, Bayonne
3. Take exit no. 19 “AGEN, TOULOUSE, PAU” to join A62
4. Continue on A62 until exit no. 6 (Aiguillon)
5. Follow D8 towards Damazan and Aiguillon
6. In Aiguillon, turn left onto D813 towards Clairac
7. After 2km, turn right onto D271 towards Clairac
8. In Clairac, turn left into “Rue de Maubec” then turn right onto D911
9. After 3km, turn left onto D202 towards Laparade
10. Continue on D202 through the village of Laparade
11. Leave the village on D202 until the road straightens.
12. After a short stretch of open fields, there is a small group of houses (if you see a water tower on your right, you have passed them!)
13. Turn right into a lane immediately after the first house (new & wooden)
14. This leads up to Maison de la Combe.
