Please no parties, this is a very nice neighborhood and neighbors are close so they will hear you and they will report. This fantastic custom home is in one of Sacramento's most spectacular neighborhoods, Land Park. Walking distance to the beautiful Land Park: Great spot for walks, biking, golf, feeding ducks. This is a large, cozy family home. We allow pets (maximum 2) for a $50 non-refundable pet fee.
Very charming home with a bright breakfast nook, large living room with vaulted ceiling and exposed wood beams, formal dining, mature landscaping, large walk-in closets and drawer space for your belongings, fully stocked kitchen, 2 full restrooms, laundry room, make-up room vanity, beautiful back patio, huge drive-way that will fit up to 6 cars.
Guests have full access to the entire home except the garage, basement and one closet. Guests can park the full length of the 110' driveway and they can use the back yard. Smoke only in the front yard because the neighbors can smell the smoke in the back porch and it bothers them.
We do not live in the home but we do live in the area. We are a married couple who work together and are very responsive to messages, so just let us know if you have a problem or need help with anything. The owner's son is also available as needed.
This is one of the most upscale neighborhoods in all of Sacramento, and very close to downtown/midtown. Land Park is right across the street with golfing, the Sacramento Zoo, and Fairy Tale Town and Funderland. You can catch the city bus, or a Jump bike or scooter, and be downtown/midtown in minutes. It is also easy and quick to get a Lift or Uber from this home.
Press the Yale button on the outside of the front door in order to lock the door when you are away, and when you check-out. Turn off all lights and thermostat when leaving the home.
Check In/Check Out: Check-in is 4:00 pm and Check-out is 11:00 am. Please inform us of the approximate time that you anticipate checking in and out. This helps us in planning for our cleaners and for future guests. Late check-ins are no problem but if after 10:00 pm, please be quite as to not disturb the neighbors.
Parking: Please pull into the correct driveway, which is to the left of the grey house with the red front door and right of the street light. You will park right next to the red front door. Parking is restricted from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday-Friday and you will get a ticket from the City of Sacramento, so park in our 110' long driveway. Pull in at a 45 degree angle so that your car does not scrape.
Cameras
We have a Ring Video Doorbell camera installed at the front door and side of home but NOT in the home or backyard. This is for the safety of our guests and to prevent parties and theft.
Smoking: Our house is a non-smoking home, although you can smoke outside in the front of the home only. Please do not smoke on the back porch as it can drift into the neighbors homes. No cigarettes inside the house; use outside trash bins. We have had guests ignore this rule and smoke in the home, so if this is happens then security deposit is forfeited.
Restrooms: We have one full restroom downstairs and one full restroom upstairs. Feel free to use the toiletries and hair blow dryers that we provide in each restroom. If you see something that you feel we should provide, please let us know and we may have it. We kindly ask you to please place things like wet wipes, cotton balls, tampons, etc in the bin next to the toilet.
Amenities: Iron and ironing board are in the laundry room, along with cleaning supplies in the small closet. On occasion we may have clean sheets or towels in the dryer. Extra towels and sheets are in downstairs hall closet. The Keurig coffee maker is for guest use. There is also filtered water in the freezer door of the refrigerator.
Candles: We do not allow candles in the home for any reason. Please do not purchase and/or light candles in our home.
Cleaning: While we do a thorough and professional clean between each guest stay, we kindly ask that prior to leaving, place any dishes or kitchenware into the dishwasher and put any dirty towels in the hamper. Please make sure the kitchen and areas you use are wiped down. If carpet is stained, security deposit will be forfeited.
Parties/Noise: In order to respect our quiet neighborhood, and the laws of the city of Sacramento, we do not allow parties in the house, and we kindly ask that things are kept on the quieter side after 10:00 pm.
Damage: We understand that accidents happen. We do ask that you please let us know when they do. Inform us via Airbnb private message of what happened as soon as possible.
Utilities: Lights / Heating: To keep our costs down (and pass those savings on to our guests) we kindly ask that you switch off lights and and lower the thermostat when leaving the house. The Bedroom on the first floor that you get to through the laundry room has different heating system. This room has a dedicated electric heater. The heater in this room will turn on only if the door is shut and there is movement in the room. It will stay on for you but only if you keep the door closed. Once the door opens it will shut off so you will need to turn it on again if you are staying in the room.
Garbage: We pay a service to take out the trash Tuesday and put them back Wednesday. There are 3 large garbage bins behind the house. One for trash (smaller green), one for recycle (blue) and one for yard waste (larger dark green). Do not put trash in the green waste bin (this happens often and creates quite a mess that is difficult to clean up).
Closets/Dressers: All closets are for guest use with the exception of the closet in Room #2. All of the dresser drawers and night stand drawers are for guest use.
Furniture: Please do not rearrange furniture. This makes it hard for our cleaner to move back.
Pets: We allow pets for a nonrefundable fee of $100. Please make sure that your pets are potty trained, and do not track dirt and mud into the home because most of the home is carpet. If pets have an accident, then security deposit will be forfeited.
Makeup/Towels: Please do no remove makeup with the white towels.
Laundry: Washer and dryer are for guest use, and only for guest owned laundry. Please do not launder any of our linens. Our house cleaner will do our linens.
Stays over 30 Days
We require our housekeeper to clean every 30 days for stays longer than 30 days. Additional cleaning fee of $120 to be billed to the guest.
