Relax comfortably. That is possible in our 'Waldhaus'. During the renovation in 2019 we have brought the comfort and finishing level to a high plan. For ourselves and for you.
About 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Amsterdam or Utrecht is this luxuriously renovated house in the woods and close to the water sports village of Langweer, the cozy Joure and the 18-hole Sint Nyk Golf Course. On the very quiet holiday park is a restaurant, marina (for renting a sloop) and swimming lake.
The space
This holiday home, renovated in 2019, stands on a beautiful piece of land. With every comfort and a very luxurious appearance. Including fireplace, luxury bathroom, complete kitchen and high-quality finish.
It is a good place to stay here at any time of the day. In the morning you have breakfast at the large table in the kitchen, or you can grab one of the first rays of sunshine on one of the terraces around the house.
After breakfast you take the bike to explore the area; take a sloop to the Frisian lakes (you can rent a boat at the holiday park); make an extensive walk through the forest; or walk 18 holes at Burggolf Sint Nyk. In the house is a list of recommended activities.
In the house it is also delicious. The garden is sheltered and has several terraces so that you can always sunbathe somewhere from early spring until late in the fall.
Lunch or dinner is fine in Langweer (5 minutes) or one of the other villages or towns in the immediate area. There is a list of recommended restaurants in the house.
A real chef cooks himself. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, gas stove and oven with microwave function. The fridge has a freezer compartment. There is an AirFryer, Nespresso machine, kettle, hand blender, juicer and other kitchen utensils.
In the evening you can light the wood fire and enjoy reading books, playing games or watching TV on the couch. Wifi available.
There is a luxury toilet on the lower floor and a bathroom (with a second toilet) on the upper floor.
The bedrooms are luxuriously furnished with new beds and box springs. The curtains are blackout and the windows are fitted with mosquito nets. The carpet is anti-allergenic.
In the master bedroom the bed is 180 x 200 cm. In the second bedroom 80 x 200 cm (twice). In the lovely bedstead (below) the mattress is size 140 x 200 cm.
There are no facilities for smaller children.
The holiday park is quiet. The houses are far apart, so that you are usually not bothered by other visitors. The park is mainly visited by tranquility seekers and families. At the holiday park you can use the swimming lake and the restaurant. A large Jumbo supermarket is located at 5 (car) minutes. Walking through the forest you reach the Jumbo, but it takes at least 25 minutes. It is open 7 days a week.
The property is located in the middle of the Frisian lake area and the beautiful Frisian Gaasterland is 'around the corner'. Joure (10 minutes), Lemmer (15 minutes) Sneek (20 minutes) and Heerenveen (20 minutes) offer a diverse selection of shops and restaurants. A little further away no problem? You can reach Groningen or Leeuwarden in 45 minutes. Batavia Outlet Lelystad is at the same distance.
Access for guests
Guests have access to the entire property. With the exception of the private areas.
Other things to look out for
Although the box bed is much appreciated by everyone and sleeps wonderfully, it is of course not a full bedroom.
Every guest is provided with 2x bed linen & 2x towels.
Dishcloths & towels for the kitchen are also provided.
There are no beach towels available.
Although the house is in the middle of the Frisian lakes area, the house itself is NOT on the water. There is a harbor at the holiday park and a short boat trip will take you to Langweerder Wielen in 20 minutes.
The house is not suitable for young people, sports or student clubs / associations and is therefore not rented to it.
The house is not equipped for the accommodation of (very) young children. There is no fence for the stairs, no protection for the fireplace and there are no secure sockets.
The garden is lockable.
One car may be parked on the site itself. Any other cars are 50 meters away along the meadow. This also applies to your possible boat trailer.
Before 9 am and after 10 pm it is completely quiet at the park (and around the house).
Note: During peak season and school holidays, requests shorter than a week may be rejected to give priority to guests who wish to book 1 or 2 weeks.
