The natural stone house, which is about 200 years old, is located in the four-family village of Vicchieda.Natural stone house on the southern tip of Liguria, ideally located for a holiday with your dogs as well as for excursions to the nearby Cinque Terre and Lunigiana.
The house measures around 100m² and was carefully refurbished on many holidays, with marble and wooden flooring. It provides a brick-built kitchen with channelled sheet doors and Murano glass knobs, a dining room with a satellite TV and a vaulted ceiling. The house has three bedrooms with two double beds and a large corner sofa bed. Apart from a hallway, there is also a large bathroom with a brick-built double washbasin, a WC, a shower and a washing machine. The second bathroom is on the second floor and has natural stone walls and floors, a WC, shower and bidet. Gas central heating is available. The house has an open design, so that only the bathrooms have glass doors. ATTENTION: This is a three-storey, typical Ligurian house with steep stairs.
There are two inviting terraces and a 300m² garden. The adjoining houses are no longer occupied, so you remain undisturbed, but you should like old stones.
As the owners also have three dogs, pets are welcome. From the house, you can go on walks with your four-legged friends to the river, where they are allowed to go into the water. They are only allowed in the sea in the autumn and winter, or during bad weather in the spring and summer, which is rare though in this region. The landlord lives next door.
The house is located in a Vara tributary valley, halfway to the ancient Tivegna built on the mountain peak. You will find shops in (Pian di) Follo about 3km away, where there are also a bank, a post office, restaurants, tennis courts etc. The nearest bathing possibility is about 2km away in the Vara River. About 10km away there is the tourist resort of La Spezia. This medium-sized harbour town has the only large harbour in Liguria that is protected naturally by the Golfo dei Poeti, forming the border between Liguria and Tuscany. It is a similar distance to the awesome world cultural heritage of Cinque Terre. Portovenere, Lerici, Versilia, Portofino, Sarzana and Carrara are also in the vicinity. You can go biking, riding, climbing, sailing, and even skiing in winter at Passo del Ceretto. The hospitality and the Ligurian gastronomy will make your stay unforgettable.
