New studio, type T0, on the 1st floor, very well located in the center of Tojeira, a quiet village located on the coast 2.8 km from Magoito beach and 11 km from Sintra village, making it an excellent starting point for a wonderful holiday in Portugal.
As you can see in the photos, the interior of the studio is functionally organized into two main areas: A sleeping area, equipped with a double bed, wardrobe and dresser; another mixed area for meals and living (and / or sleeping), equipped with kitchenette, living room furniture, table and chairs and sofa bed type "NIDO"

At 2800m from the apartment (less than 3 km), you can enjoy the picturesque "Praia do Magoito" (Magoito Beach), with its hillside in petrified dune, rare in Europe. Praia do Magoito, a beach of fine white sand, has a Blue Flag, only attributed to clean beaches with high quality waters. It is also one of the richest iodine beaches in all of Europe. On the beach there are restaurants, cafés, a surf school. Here you can relax and enjoy the sun, have fun swimming, or enjoy the waves and practice surfing and bodyboarding or on windy days practicing windsurfing or kitesurfing. You can also go sport fishing, or relax and relax on the sand along the salt water of the Atlantic. The top of its steep cliffs to the south is used for the departure of paragliding flights, which on several occasions we can observe gliding smoothly in the air over the beach.
With easy connection by the sand when the tide is low, we can head south from Praia do Magoito to Praia da Aguda on a pleasant walk along the sand along the sea water.
Praia da Aguda is a quieter and less frequented beach, but it is not watched during the bathing season. It is also accessed by a wooden staircase installed on the cliff that connects the beach to Largo da Praia da Aguda.
In 15 minutes, by car, it is very easy to go to the picturesque and romantic village of Sintra, World Heritage - Cultural Landscape of Humanity, located 11 km away, which you must visit.
Lisbon, the historic and also modern capital of Portugal, is 40 km away from "Casas da Joaninha - Tojeira.
Although the use of a private car is recommended, if you do not have a car, it is also very easy to go to Sintra and Lisbon by public transport. Public transport to Sintra, on the regular bus line, is available daily between approx. 7: 00-20: 00, with departures of about one hour, depending on the time of day; the bus stop at Tojeira is situated 100 meters away from Casas da Joaninha - Tojeira. The bus ride (line 444 “SCOTTURB") from Tojeira to Sintra (Portela de Sintra) is 21 minutes. From Sintra, there are buses to Parede, Estoril, Cascais, etc.
From Sintra to Lisbon there is a train (CP), with a journey time of approximately 45 minutes, with departures every 20 minutes, depending on the time of day.

To the south of Tojeira, following the coast, you will find Praia da Aguda, then the picturesque village of Azenhas do Mar and then Praia das Maçãs and Praia Grande, with their famous restaurants specializing in fish and seafood. On the way from Praia Grande to Cabo da Roca, we suggest you pass through Colares, a typical village also famous for its “Adega Regional”, where you can enjoy a tasting of its famous “Ramisco” and “Malvasio” wines, characteristic of this demarcated region . When leaving Colares, pass through the village of Penedo, a very old traditional village on the slopes of the Sintra mountains, with excellent exposure to the sun and excellent panoramic views of sea and mountain. And before finally heading to Cabo da Roca, pass through Almoçageme and visit the beautiful Praia da Adraga.
Continuing south along the coast, you will find Guincho Beach (windsurfing, kitesurfing ...), "Farol da Guia" (scale school), "Boca do Inferno", Cascais Marina, and you can visit also the village of Cascais and Estoril. Cascais and Estoril are two cosmopolitan villages located next to the charming Tagus estuary, where we can admire their palatial buildings and breathe fresh air in their gardens and parks. In another direction, to the north of Tojeira, less than 20 km away, are the picturesque Samarra beach, São Julião beach, Foz do Lizandro beach, Ericeira, Ribeira de Ilhas and Coxos beaches, highly appreciated by bodyboarders, windsurfers and kitesurfers.
In this same direction, in addition to the beaches already mentioned, visit the picturesque village of Ericeira, a typical fishing village (good fish and seafood restaurants). Close to Ericeira, pass through the city of Mafra, where you can visit the monumental "Convento de Mafra" and the "Tapada de Mafra" (fenced forest area, inhabited by many animals in its natural state of wildlife, which can be safely visited on guided tours).
