New for 2023, Honeysuckle Barn is one of three stunning barn conversions tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac in the Broadland village of Martham. The barn is walking distance from the village centre with two pubs, a fish & chip shop, cafe, takeaway and shops. Within 10-15 minutes drive is a choice of beaches as well as the Norfolk Broads, making this an ideal destination for a family holiday.
The main entrance to the barn is through the utility room, where you'll find a washing machine and space for coats and boots. The large open plan kitchen is set out for family entertaining, with an island and four bar stools. There's an American style fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, and dishwasher. Opposite the kitchen area there's a large dining table with ample seating for eight.
Through the open doorway is the spacious living room area with doors opening into a fully enclosed garden. Relax on comfortable sofas in front of the smart TV. There's also a downstairs shower room with a WC and washbasin.
Upstairs you'll find four comfortable bedrooms. Bedroom one has a kingsize bed and ensuite shower room. Bedroom two has a kingsize bed, bedroom three a standard double size bed and bedroom four has twin 3' single beds. All of the bedrooms have Velux blackout blinds. There's a family bathroom with a shower over the bath, WC and washbasin.
Outside the fully enclosed garden has an Astroturf lawn and paving. Two cars can park in the cart shed garage, whilst there's space for 1-2 more cars outside. Guests staying at Honeysuckle Barn have unlimited wifi, and two dogs are welcome at no additional charge. More may be possible - please ask us.
Car passes are available at the property for free parking at Winterton beach car park.
Honeysuckle Barns are tucked away down a quiet lane on the edge of the Broadland village of Martham. You can walk to the village centre in less than 5 minutes where you'll find a post office, village shops, pub, and takeaways (including fish & chip shop). Day boat hire is available at Martham Day Boats on the edge of the village. Martham is 10-15 minutes drive from the coast where there's a fantastic choice of beaches including Winterton-on-Sea. Winterton Dunes is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). From the end of November to the beginning of January it’s pupping season for the local grey seal colony, with literally thousands of them on Horsey beach just 15 mins drive from Martham. It’s an amazing sight to see.
For cyclists there’s a great choice of routes and trails to enjoy. A little further afield the Norfolk Broads offers scenic boat trips or hire your own boat for the day. There’s also fishing, kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding available.
For families, the seaside town of Gt Yarmouth is only a 15 minute drive away, with a sandy beach, end of pier entertainment, Sea Life centre, amusement arcades, pleasure beach, bowling, cinemas, Venetian Waterways, crazy golf and much more. We also recommend the award winning BeWILDerwood an outdoor tree house adventure park with zip wires, jungle bridges, marsh walks and boat rides - just a 15 minute drive away near Horning. Wroxham Barns is nearby with independent shops, craft studios, a kids' farm, funfair and restaurant.
The fine city of Norwich is a 40 minute drive away, and offers shopping, museums, restaurants and a choice of theatres.
