Vineyard Villa is a spacious villa set back from a quiet road overlooking vineyards. This villa is new to HomeAway. We had great feedback from guests who stayed in this villa last year and we have three other villas that we let for holidays all of which have many excellent 5 star reviews. We are rated as Premier Partners for these villas which reflects our service and reviews.
The villa has high vaulted ceiling and French windows leading onto generous terraces surrounding the villa. The villa is set back from the road and its private gardens surround the villa. The pool is exceptionally large at 15 x 5 meters.
On the main level of the villa there is a large sitting and dining room, a fully equipped kitchen along with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lower floor is connected by outside steps and has two bedrooms both with en-suite bathrooms. The lower floor has its own seating area in front of the two lower bedrooms. This seating area is surrounded by trees and beyond the trees is the vineyard. The lower bedrooms have French windows opening onto the seating area.
The rooms in the villa are all extremely spacious. In the upstairs floor, all the ceilings are high and vaulted with veiling fans which allows for good air circulation and ensures that the rooms are cool during the summer months. There are plentiful French windows around the villa, again allowing for a breeze during the summer.
The bedrooms are all spacious as are all four bathrooms.
Outside the villa are well kept mature gardens, large terraces surrounding all sides of the villa and a very large swimming pool. The views from all sides of the villa and from the pool area are spectacular with views to the sea and to the Besparmak mountains.
There are a variety of different places to sit outside the villa with differing views, some in shade and some in full sun. We provide 8 handmade wooden sunbeds with cushions and plenty of wicker armchairs, dining chairs and tables around the villa.
The villa is on the edge of the peaceful and charming village of Ilgaz and overlooks the vineyards of Etel Winery. There are now various places within walking distance of the villa to eat. Gillham Vineyard Hotel has an excellent restaurant and a wine bar serving tapas and wine from the Ilgaz vineyards. Hoots Bistro serves delicious food in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and Ilgaz Koy Firin Cafe serves a substantial Turkish breakfast.
There are plenty of walks to be taken from the door of the villa.

Résumé: We are a family of six visiting Cyprus for the first time, looking for a short, quiet, relaxing holiday. We certainly found that in this wonderful villa, in the beautiful village of Ilgaz. The best thing about the whole experience was the incredible hospitality and attention received from the villa owners. Carola is a wonderful, kind and friendly lady who treats guests as if they were members of her own family. From answering my initial e-mail query expediently, to arranging pick-up from and to Larnaca Airport, to ensuring we had a generous welcome package (food and drink) awaiting us, to stacking the villa full of everything you could possibly need, to maintaining the pool in superb condition at all times, to offering help and advice about where to go/what to do etc.., all without the slightest hint of intrusion....made the whole experience so special! The journey from Larnaca Airport to Ilgaz took around 75 min. The villa sits high up in the mountains which allowed us spectacular views of the sea, mountain ranges, sunset, sunrise, etc.. There are no shops within walking distance, and therefore you will need a car for shopping, sightseeing, etc.. Make sure you hire an air-conditioned car with a good engine as the temperatures can be uncomfortably high (August) and one or two steep inclines on the way up to the villa can be tricky! The villa is on 2 floors, with the upper one being particularly spacious. 3 of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, and the 4th has a bathroom immediately opposite. There is a wonderful balcony on the upper floor that encircles the whole villa, giving you too many spots to choose from for a quiet sit down to enjoy the scenery. The highlight of the villa must be the swimming pool which is massive! There is a shallow half and a deep end for the more experienced swimmers. There is an enormous space encircling the pool where you can place your sunbeds or have a walk around! BBQ in this villa is a must and there is a dedicated purpose-built area for this. There are too many leisurely activities to enjoy in North Cyprus, but we chose the private boat trip, jeep safari up the mountains and a visit to Alagadi beach (very quiet). We also did just about all the available water sports! We had a wonderful time during this visit and would thoroughly recommend the villa, the village and above all the owners, Carola and Oz. If you are after a quiet, peaceful break from the hubbub of daily life, this is the place to visit.
