Résumé: Everyone will agree it's a stunning view. There is a rocky slope with steps down to the water's edge and one can envision the history of the area. The decorating is unique and makes you think you're in a museum. On windy days you can see and hear the waves and a few local fishermen. There's an awesome sunrise view from the master. It's a10 minute drive to the edge of town-so convenient yet no constant city bustle. Our experience with the owner was surprisingly quite a bit below what we have come to expect from VRBO rentals. The maid and gardener/maintenance man were great but knew no English. There were no instructions to the property, subdivision, or anything. It took us weeks with the help of a Spanish techie to figure the TV. It had 7 controllers. Unfortunately, there's too much echo due to the massive open area to hear well. The pool is very prominent in the pictures. In fact, the lens used makes it appear larger. But it was too cold to use for our entire visit through March. Other pool owners we met in the area use a cover at night to facilitate year-round use. 1st pic (as of Mar2021) shows such a cover rolled up on the left. But, when we got there it was shredded and laying in the adjacent lot. The owner refused to replace it saying it wasn't effective. I took a few hours to repair the stuck power driveway entry doors then found the remote was bad. The owner said that it was not advertised as power so if wanted to park, get out of the car, walk all the way down and back to open it. We therefore parked in the street unless we had something to carry. This would have only been a $30 USD expenditure to repair. It wasn't like it was an additional feature. A last caution: Internet services can vary widely. This home has TelMex DSL service based off copper lines. At this distance from the switch, download speeds will max at 1 MbS and upload is much less. Therefore, you can do email and usually watch Netflix on a tablet. But will be challenging if you need for work. I could sometimes watch a video conference but never show anything due to the upload speeds and reliability is poor. Business users in the area have a backup service. I usually went to a restaurant. The router will not reach to the pool/veranda so run inside to change music. Except for the really small kitchen, sadly all of this is fixable for minimal investment for such a neat place to greatly enhance the experience.
