Inside, you’ll find a living space that echoes the wide-open feeling of the surrounding landscape. The heart of the home is a bright, open-concept space with an unobstructed view straight through the dining area, lounge area, and kitchen – perfect for family groups who want to spend time together without being on top of one another! Every window in this part of the home offers a stunning mountain view – and there are plenty of them!
The dining area is flooded with light from a sliding glass double-door leading onto the outdoor deck. The deck overlooks a wide, picturesque view of the Rockies. An inviting group of Adirondack chairs surrounds a cozy firepit where you can enjoy the scenery with an extra touch of ambiance. There’s also a grill here for cooking up perfectly charred chow. Further away from the deck, a picnic table is tucked under the shade of a native evergreen for shady snacks and lunches.
Back inside the dining room, you’ll find a table for six, and an extension of the kitchen counter that serves as a breakfast bar with seating for two.
The kitchen is massive, and designed for easy-breezy preparation of meals both big and small. You’ll find plenty of counter space and pine cabinetry galore. The kitchen area is completely open, making it easy to move between work stations.
You’ll be pleased with the kitchen’s appointments. A set of full-size stainless-steel appliances includes a refrigerator/freezer, a range with cooktop and oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Enjoy the use of a blender, toaster, coffee maker…even a fully-stocked spice rack. This kitchen has everything you need! And as you stand before the handy double-basin sink, you’ll enjoy a stunning mountain view, pretty as a picture.
The kitchen flows directly into the lounge area, where your entire party can gather for cozy nights in front of the TV, or choose from a collection of games for all ages. Here, rows of windows provide uplifting daylight and Rocky Mountain views. Snuggle into the leather 3-seater sofa or 2-seater loveseat with a blanket and throw pillows, or lean back in the head rancher’s chair and command the TV remote.
Off of the main living space, an additional room serves double-duty as a sitting room and home office. A desk, chair and desk lamp have been provided for those working or studying on the road. Two tub chairs flank the window, providing a civilized space for catching up over a bottle of wine.

It’s home to one of the area’s most beloved trails: the Santa Fe Regional Trail, with 15 miles of graveled surface where visitors can enjoy hiking, biking, and horseback riding. In winter, the trail attracts cross-country skiers and snowshoers.
Additionally, the Palmer Lake Recreation Area offers 36 acres of picturesque meadow and lakeside surroundings that can be enjoyed from a gentle walking path.
As a town, Palmer Lake is small but charming, and it provides places to grab Italian or Mexican food, ice cream, or a cocktail. However, the larger town of Monument is just 7 minutes down the road, with plenty of places to shop, eat and drink.
