Front balcony has sea and pool views, plus large side terrace giving a choice of sun or shade all day long. Very well equipped throughout, with all mod cons.
Apartment is kept private and is not overlooked by passers-by or bar users as it is screened partly by the pool bar/restaurant. Any noise (which is rare) is directed away from the apartment.
Beautiful sunsets and westerly views of the beach and sea from the balcony and terrace. Throughout the morning you can enjoy full sun on the side terrace and shade in the afternoon. From the front balcony choose shade in the morning and sun all the afternoon, then enjoy beautiful sunsets. Perfect for both sun and shade lovers!

Electricity, gas, water (inc filtered drinking water), welcome pack and linen/towels included (not beach towels -but they can be hired by arrangement if reqd).
This is a self catering apartment so there is a washing machine, drying rack, iron and board. However, If required, laundry and/or cleaning can be arranged with the manager for a small extra charge of 7 euros per load and 15 euros per hour cleaning..
A basic welcome pack will be supplied on arrival - water, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, wash-up liquid, toilet rolls, bin bag etc plus there are usually some staples (e.g. oil etc) in the cupboards. Please replace if finished..
A meet and greet Airport pick up can be arranged for 20 euros payable direct to Sabine, my manager, on arrival, or you can take your own taxi for approx 10 euros (plenty at the airport), and be met by Sabine at Elcibar (our pool bar/restaurant),
I am contactable by phone (inc WhatsApp and Skype) or email anytime and queries will be answered (when/where possible) within 24 hours.
Whilst on site, Sabine (my Belgian apartment manager) will help with any queries either immediately or within a few hours, as she lives in an apartment nearby.

Wheelchair friendly apt. with ramps to bar and pool area. Bath lift, grab rails and bed risers, plus portable ramps for wheelchair for easy taxi transport for tours and/or airport transfer available on request.. Note that the island is not generally suitable for manual wheelchairs as the roads are cobbled and bumpy plus most shops/restaurants have steps. Locals are very helpful if you are disabled.
Widescreen TV and CD/DVD player. Good choice of dvds and cds. Bluetooth speaker for phone, tablet or laptop.

Fully equipped gym in the next door complex, that can be used for a small charge or there is an area on the beach opposite Vila Cabral 1, with free exercise equipment.
For self caterers there is a small supermarket just next door in VC1 (selling lovely fresh bread in the mornings), plus a local bakery, fishmarket, butcher, fruit and veg market, supermarkets and lots of souvenir shops a short walk away in town.
Several good bars and restaurants with a great choice of food at reasonable prices within easy walking distance, or short taxi ride, after a busy day surfing, sightseeing or just chilling with a good book; or take a local taxi further afield to the many beach bars for a delicious meal.
Bart and Els welcome you to their Elcibar pool bar/restaurant serving excellent breakfasts, lunches, dinner, snacks and drinks all day/eve except Mondays. They also provide a useful take-away service and now also provide a selection of Chinese dishes.
Small supermarket (has freshly baked rolls in the morning) and a reasonably priced bar/restaurant in the next door complex (VC1). Large supermarket 5-10 mins walk (Boas Compras).
Transport time from airport is 10 - 15 mins, 10-12 euros. Collection service 20 euros by arrangement. Parking right outside the apt. 24 hour security. .
Daily/weekly hire nearby for beach buggies, cars, scooters and bicycles (inc fat bikes). Island tours, boat trips/deep sea fishing, scuba diving, snorkelling, kite, wind, board surfing and horse riding. paddle boarding.
A speciality of the area is turtles egg laying/hatching and whale watching with tours available at certain relevant times of year.
Holidays here are suitable for singles, couples, families and groups of all ages, whether looking for a peaceful break or an activity holiday in an emerging, unspoilt location. All amenities nearby or within short taxi distance. 10-20 min walk to town and port. English/Belgian speaking apt manager available for local info and queries.
Local currency is Cape Verdean Escudos. Most places accept Euros, but will give you change in Escudos. 1000 Escudos is about £8.00, or €9.00. Several ATMs in town to draw Escudos.
Shops/restaurants generally do not accept credit/debit cards.
