Casa Colibri is a beautiful 2-story home that allows you to be on the same level as the tree tops, and watch tropical nature from close by. From the covered patio, you can enjoy the sounds of the surrounding forest. Tropical birds like Hummingbirds and Toucans are daily visitors, and if you are lucky you can watch them from very close by
On the first floor, you will find the master bedroom with a spacious en-suite bathroom and a lovely private outdoor seating area: a guest room with a bathroom, and a laundry facility. A wide sturdy staircase takes you to the 2nd floor with a well-appointed kitchen, a cozy living room, a half bath, and a wonderful patio with a small infinity dipping pool. From the patio, you look straight into the jungle, and often you can hear the howler monkeys deep in the forest
Casa Colibri is nestled in the mountains of Atenas, a small super cute authentic town with all the sweet Costa Rican characteristics. A 20-minute drive takes you to downtown Atenas where there is a wide variety of restaurants, grocery stores, delicious bakeries, and a weekly farmers market.
At a 15-minute drive you can access highway 27 "Ruta Del Sol" which leads to Pacific beaches, passing to other small towns like Orotina which is famous for its abundance of fruit stalls. The central location is perfect for exploring Costa Rica on day trips.
At check-in, you will meet our multilingual (English-Dutch-Spanish speaking) property management team. They are ready to welcome you to Casa Colibri and will do everything within their power to make your stay a great success.
As an additional service to our house guests, they offer a fee-based airport pick-up and drop-off to help you avoid the potential hassles involved in the transitions into and out of your time in Costa Rica (great especially when you have late travel plans, but a nice comfort to have in any event). They also provide car rentals (delivered to the house) and tours to all corners of the country, including the Poas and Arenal volcanoes, La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a private Catamaran Sailing tour, a visit to an Organic Coffee farm, all kinds of adventurous activities (f.e. zipline, rafting, ATV, horseback riding, fishing, sailing, hiking, etc) and tours custom made to our guests' requests throughout Costa Rica.
Pamper yourself and make arrangements for grocery delivery (stocking fridge at arrival), catering, private chef at the house, wellness treatments, and more. Casa Kolibri and its staff are set up to allow you to enjoy the most incredible vacation stay; stress-free, surrounded by nature and tranquility.
