Résumé: This rental is a sizeable home located in a nice neighborhood. It was a short drive to get to restaurants, shopping and the university. The back yard is large and fenced with plantings and places to sit. It is a great play space for children and setting for pictures. I prepared a meal for a dozen people and found the kitchen equipped with the basics but lacking. For example, I could have used kitchen shears and straight blade vegetable peeler as well as serving tongs. (I brought my own large pots.) The coffee hospitality was notable and appreciated--well stocked and nothing lacking there. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable but the bedding was not as crisp and fresh as a hotel. It felt as vintage as the house. Plumbing system or mechanical sounds were noticeable. We did not use the basement space, but we noted that it was more modern than the main space and had newer furniture including recliners. Though the place needs some love and maintenance and could use a facelift, at the right price, I would not hesitate to book this home again.
