Tentrr State Park Site - NY Taconic State Park: High Valley Rd Site D | Location De VR dans Copake

Summary:
This site is located on a secluded hillside high in the mountains with great views of the surrounding mountains and valley below. There is a parking area off of High Valley Rd where campers must park. CAMPERS MAY NOT DRIVE TO THIS CAMPSITE AT ANY TIME. This site is the farthest from the parking area at approximately an 18 minute walk, but it is worth every step - it offers the most privacy and seclusion out of all of the campsites in High Valley. The site is also surrounded by beautiful forests. Sit on one your Adirondack chairs and enjoy the views.
The High Valley Campsites are located close the the Copake Iron Works Museum. It is also a short drive away from Bish Bash Falls, a beautiful waterfall accessible by a short hike. Located a short drive from the nearby town but close enough in case you need any last minute supplies. Sites are also located near the Harlem Valley Rail Trail, Great for walking and bike riding. There are also multiple areas located a short drive from the campsite where you can swim and go fishing. At Rudd Pond, a 15 min drive from the Site, There are boat rentals for 10/hr or 40 for the day. Rudd Pond is open on Weekends and Holidays.

Guest Access:
Taconic State Park is located along 16 miles of the Taconic Mountain Range, sharing a border with Massachusetts and Connecticut. Two developed areas, Copake Falls and Rudd Pond, offer an extensive trail system with terrain that varies from easy to challenging, offering spectacular views.
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite set up in partnership with Taconic State Park. Our campsites are typically set up off-the-grid, which means they do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!
Each campsite includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find one queen bed inside. Larger groups can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided (you’re welcome to bring your own camping gear too). You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs.

-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling
-Bedding and pillows
-Lanterns and lighting
-Firewood for the campfire
-Water
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.
If a Tentrr Camp Guide submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!
Bathroom Facilities:
Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry!
Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.
Tentrr guests will also have access to state park bathroom facilities in the immediate area of their site and across the park. Please be advised that some facilities will not always be right next to your site. Also, some bathroom facilities in the park may be closed seasonly. Pet Policy: A maximum of two pets are allowed in campsites and day use areas unless prohibited by sign or directive. Pets are to be supervised at all times and either be crated or on a leash not more than 6-feet in length. Proof of rabies inoculation shall be produced if requested by staff. Pets are not permitted in playgrounds, buildings, golf courses, boardwalks, pools and spray-grounds or guarded beaches (this does not apply to service animals).
Quiet hours are strictly enforced between 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM daily.
No check-ins allowed after 9:00 PM.
Other Things to Note:
Campers MUST park in the parking area off of High Valley Road. There are absolutely no cars permitted in the fields at High Valley.
There are no park restrooms or park facilities, including dumpsters, located in the High Valley area. This is a primitive campsite.
Be sure to bring your own food, firewood, and bedding.
There is no electricity available at your Tentrr site.
Anything you pack in, you must pack out. This is "leave no trace" camping.
All trash MUST brought with you upon departure. Campers MUST pack out their trash. There are no park dumpsters available to use. If you do not follow this rule, you will be charged a cleaning fee.
Please make sue you check for ticks, especially on children and pets and beware that there are rattlesnakes, bears and other forest dwellers in this area. They are important members of the natural community, so we ask that you give them distance and respect for the safety of all. Have a wonderful stay!
