Résumé: Overall, we made the best of our stay but there were a few hiccups… -when we arrived one of the entry codes to the front door worked but the other didn’t. We messaged the host and didn’t get a response right away so called and left a voicemail. He called right back and gave us a different code. -the property is actually 3 units all attached which isn’t described accurately in the listing. We rented unit 1&2 and loved that set up. However in the middle of our trip we noticed 2 other cars in the driveway and other people were there. I messaged the host who then told me it was his daughter staying for the night. She had another guest and two dogs with her. I had my son with us and he was not okay with strangers all of a sudden being around the property and he’s also not keen on dogs. I’m not sure who has the rights here, but I felt like we should have been advised well ahead of time that there was another attached unit and that it was being used. That was a huge huge letdown and questionable to us to - we enjoyed the proximity to anywhere around Georgian bay and further north -there were too many personal items left behind from either the host or past guests. The fridge was half full with half used stuff and there was no room in the shower or storage in the bathroom or bedrooms as other stuff was there. There was even dirty clothing in a hamper in one of the rooms.
