ULU STUDIO is a 1 bedroom studio located in the Kohala Trade Center building in Downtown Hawi. This studio offers a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom with a walk in shower and is supplied with bed linens and towels. There is a coffee maker, microwave oven and an air purifier. The studio is a great spot to have a place to sleep while exploring the Big Island.
The Kohala Trade Center is in the Historic District with popular shops and restaurants including Mi Ranchito Mexican restaurant, Kohala Grown organic grocery store and a Real Estate Office. For great coffee you can walk across the street to The Kohala Coffee Mill. The Bamboo restaurant is a local favorite for fresh fish or burgers and occasionally hula dancing. On Saturdays there is a Farmer Market walking distance at the Hub. Friday nights Kohala Grown is open for food, wine and beer.
There is so much to explore and do on this side of the island. A Tourist favorite is to take a picture with the famous Kamehameha Statue 5 minutes away in Kapaau Town.

Swimming in the ocean is 15 minutes away at Mahukona Park at the old pier. If you want sandy beaches we recommend the Hapuna Resort Beach or the Mauna Kea Resort Beach is a 20 minute drive.
