Accommodation at a luxury Villa with a private swimming set in its own 2.5 acres of vineyard - While you are with us you will be staying in our home which is a 17th Century Farmhouse , which has been fully renovated to an exacting standard. Using only local businesses and craftsmen we created the house to be beautiful but also functional. The kitchen is fully appointed with everything you can need. The living room has a TV, a DVD player and a bluetooth music player as well as a small library of books and magazines. Wifi broadband Internet is available. We can cater for groups of up to eight in the villa. There are to double bedrooms and two twin rooms. Two shower rooms (one with a bath). The Villa has full central heating for those starting early in the season, fully fitted modern kitchen , with dishwasher, TV, and internet.
A Stunning Villa in the Lunigiana region of Tuscany, Italy. Beautifully renovated using skilled local craftsmen and materials. Finished in a sympathetic yet classic feel. Set in its own small Vineyard on a gentle terraced hill over looking a peaceful valley. We offer to you our home to rent. This villa in Lunigiana with a swimming pool(the pool is open June to September - we may extend these dates subject to the weather being acceptable). To rent as a holiday or vacation house. It was a farmhouse in Tuscany and sleeps 6 people. The surrounds is quiet and restful for a peaceful stay. Have a glass of our wine on the terrace as you enjoy all that Italy is.
There is plenty to do if you feel more lively. The area is the foot hills of the Apuan Alps, a stunning area of natural beauty. It is criss crossed with many paths suitable for long country walks, trekking the hills, mountain biking, road cycling or just relaxing by the pool. A mere 50m away we have the ruins of Castello Di Bigliolo with its story of intrigue. There are hundreds of castles and ruins in this area to visit. The house is also on the path of the “Via Francigena” which is a holy pilgrimage from Canterbury to Rome. One of the standout churches is the wonderful Romanesque Church of Sorano – Filattiera, which houses some original pagan art from the area.
As well as the history there is plenty to do now. There is walking the paths which emanate from the house ( we have plenty of walking maps of here and the surrounding area). The Cinque Terre is only a few minutes drive away. Our personal favourite of Bonassola is about 40 minutes away and is stunning with crystal clear water, set in a secluded bay. From here you can swim, or go for a walk, ride a bike. Eat in the local restaurants all serving delicious freshly caught sea food.
The Cinque Terre is a national park and a beautiful region of rocky coves , fishing villages nestling in the south of the Italian Riviera and is a UNESCO World heritage site. It is made up of five main towns Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. You must try the local wine, it is a crisp and refreshingly dry white. Made from the grapes which grow on the steep slopes. These are harvested using a miniature railway built by the local growers. The Cinque Terra is easily accessible by car and has a regular boat service from La Spezia or Lerici.

We can cater for groups of up to six in the villa. There are two double bedrooms and two twin rooms. Two bathrooms, one one each floor. The Villa has full central heating for those starting early in the season. There is a beautiful hand made fully fitted modern kitchen , with dishwasher.
Villa Details – Lower Level
Our House is on two levels. The lower floor is where the bedrooms and family bathroom are. This keeps them nice and cool in the summer and with the houses metre thick stone walls makes the house pleasant to stay in.
Master bedroom
The main bedroom has an antique chalet bed, which has a comfortable modern mattress, a chest of drawers, a sofa bed, a full length wardrobe with two extra drawers. It also has a full length mirror.
Double bedroom
Just down the corridor is the double room which has two bedside cabinets, a full length wardrobe with drawers and handmade, chestnut wood french windows with stunning views over the valley too.
Twin bedroom
Next there is the twin room with two beds, this is great for the kids or can be pushed together if required. This room has a full length wardrobe. A chest of drawers with mirror and bedside table. There is a feature piece of oak believed to be as old as the house (circa 220 years old) This room also has double french windows leading onto the terrace.
Family Bathroom
We have the the family bathroom down stairs. It has a feature shower, bath, toilet, bidet, hand basin and full mirror with electric sockets. The bathroom is a good size and the shower is fantastic rain shower which is just right after a day on the beach.
Villa Details – upper Level
The kitchen
Upstairs is where the day time happens. The kitchen, always the heart of the Italian home has been designed to have every modern convenience but also still retain the character. So we had part of the kitchen built by the same master craftsman who made all the doors and windows. Made from chestnut wood from the Garfagnana area.
The Lounge
The lounge is a comfortable place to just relax unwind , read a book, listen to some music , catch a quick 40 winks or watch a film, or just look at the stunning views. It has a TV, DVD player, a bluetooth music player. A large comfortable sofa and arm chair.
Double Bedroom with en-suite
This is a large and very attractive room in the upper part of the house. The original stone walls of the house are left exposed in some areas giving the room a real country cottage feel. The room includes a generous double bed, two bedside tables with lamps, an ample sized chest of drawers, a large wardrobe and lovely oriental floor rug. Two good sized windows overlook both the valley and views to the side of the property. In addition this bedroom has a fabulous en-suite bathroom comprising of a generous sized sink with an illuminated mirror above, both toilet and bidet and a lovely walk-in shower. Again two sets of windows with shutters allow views from different aspects. This bedroom is a favorite with anyone and especially those preferring all amenities on one level.
