Résumé: Pluses: You have just about everything you need, the location is good (about 10-15 minute walk from the train station, and about 25 minutes from the Altstadt), although the neighborhood is sketchy; and the beds were comfortable and showers fine. Also, Alexander was EXREMELY responsive and pleasant. Minuses: Could have been cleaner (someone else's bottled water left in the fridge, a dirty oven, water and whatever else in the coffee maker, etc.); no fans, in spite of the lack of A/C; Netflix and Prime connection not available; very thin curtains (and early mornings!) and towels. Also (very importantly, and I hope this will change soon): The listing includes photographs from at least a couple of the apartments available in the same building, and the photos (and property description) included a washing machine -- one of the main reasons we chose this place. BUT, we were placed in a unit without a washer and spent half of our stay there until they moved us to the unit with the washer. We appreciated being able to move, but the host refused to give us a partial refund for the inconvenience and misleading listing. Staying here would not be a bad choice, but I suggest that you have clear and specific communication with the host re: where you'll be staying and what the amenities are. Also, you will not be paying through VRBO but encouraged to send them a wire transfer through a separate (but trustworthy) company. They also accept credit cards, which you can arrange via email.
