Volpe Rossa is a stunning villa in the heart of Tuscany, with expansive grounds, large pool and waterfall! With beautiful interiors, a 16 seat modern cinema, pool cocktail bar and barbeque.

Villa Volpe Rossa is a great place to relax in and ideally suited for family parties. It’s extensive grounds of over 50 hectares, include a private waterfall and natural pool - a ten-minute walk through its own woodlands.
The house lies at the end of a private Cyprus tree lined driveway, secluded and yet only 2km from the charming village of Chianni. The very large swimming pool is 25 metres from the main house, serviced by its own fully stocked cocktail bar (Jo Jo’s Bar) and 12-seater gazeebo. There is the state of the art Everdure barbeque by Heston Blumenthal and a seating area.
Life revolves around the pool and bar and in the evening the outside terrace with views towards Volterra. This is often followed by late night cinema viewing.
There are stunning views to the south and west from the pool and dining terrace across the valley.
The large main villa is built in classical Tuscan style, fully modernised yet maintaining the traditional farmhouse feel. There is air conditioning in all rooms, polished terracotta floors and central heating throughout.
The owners work in the film industry and there is a state of the art 16 seat cinema, with surround sound and cushioned tip-up seats (imported from the Liverpool Playhouse). There is a library of over 400 films. Whilst the kids often watch films in the morning, the evenings often become large family movie nights. (The cinema is a hit with all our clients).
The kitchen leads directly onto a terrace for alfresco dining and a table seats up to 20 people. The kitchen has top of the range American fridge, Miele and Siemens appliances. It also boasts a working Pizza oven and internal barbeque which are very useful for those who like to cook traditionally. There is a table that seats up to 18.
From the large and comfortable living room (with sofas, books a piano keyboard) there are views across the valley, steps lead up to a landing with a fully stocked wine rack. There is an honesty box and 8 different regional wines to choose from. Like the cocktail bar by the pool - these are run on trust.
On the upper ground floor is a large bedroom with two double beds with family shower room. It has its own privacy.
Upstairs split over two wings are 4 other bedrooms. A master bedroom with en suite and 3 other bedrooms with two other bathrooms. Between the two wings is an upper living room with sofa bed, desks and computer communications and winter fireplace. The house effectively has three separate bedroom areas, ideal for family privacy.
The grounds extend to over 50 hectors of vineyard, olive trees and forest. Inside the forest is a waterfall with natural pool. It is a ten-minute hike through the forest and a great adventure. A morning run or mountain bike trip within Volpe Rossa’s grounds is great fun. There are 5 bikes( including good quality mountain bikes) and some 50km of tracks and trails behind the house extending into the Santa Luce nature reserve that backs directly onto the property grounds.
There is a kid’s chalet playhouse and other secret corners the owners have created for English tea, book reading and hammock siesta’s.
Jo Jo’s cocktail bar (always the centrepiece of pool life), is fully stocked with drinks, sound system and has its own fridge, basin and water. The cocktail bar is operated on trust - there is an honesty box.
Chianni is a charming village 2km from the house. There are two excellent restaurants in the village and local grocery shops, a butcher and pharmacy. Further afield, the beaches are 35 minutes away and Volterra, Pisa, Sienna and Florence are easy to reach.
