Set in a large, well-kept, fenced garden, with a stunning private swimming pool, this attractive villa sleeps up to 8 people. The villa is arranged across one, raised ground floor with a balcony all around. It is very light and furnished in a contemporary style.
The spacious, open-plan living area, with its cool tiled floors and French windows onto the balcony, is the ideal space for relaxing with family or friends. The corner sofa is adjacent to the stylish dining suite, which is conveniently placed near the open-plan kitchen. The well-equipped kitchen has a cooker hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee machine and a Smart TV on the wall.
Wide steps lead down from the front door to the landscaped gardens and terraces. The stunning swimming pool has a shallow area for young children, as well as a deeper swimming area. Guests can relax on sun loungers by the pool, with parasols for shade. There is an outdoor shower poolside and a WC. Under a large tree, on the other side of the garden, there is a shaded dining table with benches for relaxed, al fresco dining.

Extra: The sofa in the living room converts into a double bed.

Location
This villa is close to some of Sicily’s most popular beaches, including the stunning Cava d’Aliga beach (5 minutes drive), but it is also near the baroque jewel of Scicli (15 minutes), so guests can enjoy the best that Sicily has to offer. Scicli is not only an architectural treasure, it also has an excellent weekly market (Tuesdays) in Via Saffi. Here visitors can buy the best local produce.
The regional capital is the better-known town of Ragusa (45 minutes). Ragusa, like Scicli, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is famous for its baroque palaces and winding lanes. It is well worth a day trip to explore the churches and the many fine restaurants. Wednesday is market day, so take time to drop into the football stadium to pick up some excellent ingredients. The town also hosts a prestigious music competition and festival every July.
There are many festivals throughout the year in Scicli, but the two most famous are “Uomo Vivo” (Man Alive) at Easter – a procession which finishes at the beach of Donnalucata and the Madonna Al Cavallo, at the end of May, to celebrate the town’s defeat of the Saracens.
The medieval fishing village of Donnalucata (15 minute drive) is known for its wide beaches and two festivals, the festival of squid and the flavours festival, both encourage visitors the enjoy delicious local delicacies.
Catania’s international airport is a 1-hour 35-minute drive from the villa. Please note that the pool is open from the 1st of April 2024 to the 31st of October 2024
