Welcome to The Gem! Enjoy the vintage charm of this professionally designed farmhouse, a short 10-minute drive from downtown Picton and minutes to Sandbanks beaches. Guests at our vacation rentals receive a discount on our guided wine tours and in quiet season we can also arrange a dinner shuttle to your favourite Prince Edward County eatery.
Begin your day with coffee on the front porch or take a stroll down the street to Laura's Blueberry farm for some local berries. This prime location makes for a perfect home base while you tour wineries or soak up the sun at Sandbanks Provincial Park beaches. After a day of exploring, prepare a wonderful meal in the fully equipped kitchen and dine alfresco in the converted barn with a view. Or when the weather cools down lounge in the den with propane fireplace and a good book. Outside on the patio you'll want to relax and unwind in the hot tub--all in the privacy of The Gem's spacious and lush backyard with firebowl and 4 Adirondacks.
Well behaved non-shedding dogs are welcomed here for a fee of $100 plus taxes (where applicable) for up to 2 dogs per stay. Please ASK and let us know the breed. We also ask that you kindly pick up after your dog and make sure to keep them on a lead so the dogs do not venture into the neighbours' property.

In high season (late June through Labour Day) different check-in/out times are strictly non-negotiable. Access to the cottage early to drop off belongings or to get the beach pass cannot be granted, no exceptions. Outside of high season, reach out to the Owner contact provided in your Check-in Email no sooner than 48 hours in advance of your stay to see if early in or late out can be arranged. A fee of $200 will apply for those who arrive earlier or depart later than agreed.

Rental Balance is charged automatically 30 days prior to arrival (unless you reserved on another booking site as balance date may vary)
Damage Deposit is $1000: preauthorized, not charged
