Plus, everyone can get their own peace and quiet in one of the two bedrooms located downstairs or head up the spiral staircase to find three more bedrooms upstairs.

Résumé: We had a wonderful time on Southport Island. Overall the home was very clean, well appointed and had everything we needed. Thankful for even small toiletries as my travel shampoo was empty and I didn’t realize it! Great kitchen with everything we needed. The dining space was plentiful and seated right which was great for a game night. Five bedrooms left plenty of sleeping space and a little privacy for all. Couple minor little things that the cleaning team should have caught—no big deal but just didn’t want them to think we broke anything (broken toilet paper holder and a broken curtain rod). Also, the pictures do make the home feel larger than it actually is. The ceilings upstairs are low and my teenagers hit their heads waking up daily. LOL Not a big deal. And the spiral staircase is tough to navigate but there is a back hallway staircase. And the living room couch isn’t huge so having a movie night with the five teens and pre teens was hard. Only other suggestion would be to leave some instructions like what to do with trash, etc. The house was very clean and smelled great. That’s a big deal to me. I hate a musty smelling house! This house had no odor which is tough to maintain on the water. Overall we would definitely rent again and thoroughly enjoyed this lovely area of Maine.
