Welcome to Treglum Mill Cottage, a beautiful stone house with an abundance of original features, providing the perfect getaway destination and ideal for exploring North Cornwall with its superb beaches, rugged, windswept coastline, and quaint harbour villages. Your cottage holiday starts after driving through the winding, leafy lanes, and canopies of trees to the west of the market town of Launceston. The cottage is set in a secluded and peaceful spot.
Once inside, you will uncover a wide, open plan living room and diner with stunning flagstone floors and superb wood burner, ideal for those chilly nights. Cosy and comfortable seating await and invite you, and the quaint, cottage-style kitchen has all the amenities for your stay. Upstairs you will find three delightful bedrooms, all with character in spades! There are two double bedrooms with kingsize beds, and a twin room. The exquisite family shower room has a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. There is a further bathroom with bath and shower over.
The outside space has a very special shepherd’s hut, thoughtfully designed to offer an escape to enjoy the wondrous nature around you, providing a space to catch up on emails, read a novel or perhaps write one…your surroundings will certainly inspire you! The garden leads down to the large stream as it twists and winds its way through the valleys to eventually join the famous River Tamar far to the east. There is an electric car charger supplied for your convenience. This cottage is indeed both enchanting and quite magical.
As you set off to explore the area, to the south lies ancient, mystical, and mysterious Bodmin Moor, with its breath-taking vistas and incredible stone structures, a mixture of barren and beautiful. The exquisite fishing villages of Port Isaac and Boscastle are must visits - beautiful cottages, narrow streets and golden sand stretching far and wide to coves and inlets, too. Tintagel, world-famous for its legendary links to King Arthur, is a historic site, with aged castle remains alongside a modern feat of engineering with the incredible foot bridge leading you there whilst the ocean crashes below you. The nearest beach, Crackington Haven, is flanked by steep hills and cliffs, and is just 9 miles distant, whilst the surfing sanctuary of Bude with its many beaches and memorable walks is just half an hour away.
