Welcome to this nice holiday home very close to the lake located in the heart of Dalarna. An idyll with scenic surroundings and 100 meters below is Lake Svärdsjön. The accommodation dates back to 1865 with a fine standard and the location is outstanding! At the lake there is the possibility of both swimming and fishing or enjoy summer days in the sun or stroll around in a real Dala environment. The cabin is located on a natural plot and has nice patios for lazy days and good dinners, a kitchen with a dining area and a living room with a fireplace that you can fire in, there is also a comfortable sofa bed for two people and a TV screen for those who want to relax up for different channels. The bedroom has a double bed and the bathroom a WC, shower and washing machine. There are two lovely patios, one of which is a lounge area and the other is a dining table area. As you follow the site down towards the lake there is a beautiful old bridge anchorage and a small swimming area for a cooling dip or a picnic, a beautiful place for sunny days. There are many nice places to visit, activities and experiences in the area, Svärdsjöstigen is Svärdsjö's own "beach promenade" that stretches two kilometers along Svärdsjön between Gruvbacken and Höganäsbadet. A well-maintained small swimming area by Lake Svärdsjön with a sand pier that favors the water, the bathing area has, in addition to a sandy beach, also a grass area, parking, a water toilet and changing rooms. Gammelgården, this beautiful place was inaugurated in 1931 and is the center of the home village association in Svärdsjö. it is a classically beautiful place with a lovely feeling of the genuine Dalarna, music is played here, artists come here, and a lot of other pleasant activities here in the summertime. In Svärdsjö village there are shops with flowers, interior design, clothes, cafes, Italian deli, ice cream and restaurant. Dalarna is a fantastic landscape with its historic red-painted quarters and the rural countryside. There is much to discover here for the whole family. Carl Larsson's colorful home in Sundborn is a popular destination and a source of inspiration. The farm is shown every day and visitors learn more about the world-famous artist couple, art, love and their noisy life. At the Carl Larsson farm there is also a shop with design directly from the farm. Shops, shopping and good restaurants can be found in Falun 25 kilometers from the cottage.
