Nice cottages by Lake Roxen in Vreta Kloster, 20 km from Linköping city. Roxenbaden is a small town in Stjärnorps parish in Linköping municipality. An idyllic area with beautiful surroundings, nature, nice hiking trails and close to swimming and fishing. A total of 3 buildings are included in the rental and there are 4 beds. In one of the cabins there is a living room with a sofa bed 160 cm and a fireplace that can be heated, an open kitchen with a dining area and the ceiling height is 2 meters. The second cabin has a glazed conservatory, kitchenette, smaller living room with 1 bed and a bedroom with a 120 cm bed. Shared in the third house is a shower with hot and cold water, and in the next room there is a toilet and sink with hot and cold water. There is garden furniture in several places on the plot. TV is in one of the houses with swedish 1, 2 and 4 TV channels, there is Wifi. 300 meters along a cozy footpath from the cottages is a beautiful public swimming area with barbecue facilities and tables with seating for at least 8 people. Here you enjoy the sunset and see the beautiful lake views towards the city of Linköping. That Roxen is a typical nutrient-rich plain lake is reflected by the very rich birdlife. The greatest depth is no more than 8 meters and the average depth about 4.7 meters, Göta canal runs through the lake from Norsholm to Berg. 12 km from the cottage is the lock area Bergsslusssar Göta Kanal's largest lock stairs. You come here to see boats making locks and the well-known passport boats Wilhelm Tham, Juno and Diana pass here. There are restaurants, ice cream cafes and you can rent a bike or take a cooling dip in the mountain baths. At the entrance to beautiful Berg's locks next to the Vreta monastery church are the ruins of Sweden's first monastery, founded as a Benedictine nunnery. Today, a ruin and the monastery church of Vreta monastery remain. For those interested in golf, the 18-hole course Vreta Klosters golf club is 12 km away and in the nearby area of Ljungsbro you can buy day-fresh candy directly from the Cloetta factory. 25 minutes by car to Linköping City where you can experience shopping and good food with several restaurants after Stångån, for those interested in culture a visit to the beautiful quarters by the cathedral and Linköping's castle & cathedral museum is a must. In the middle of the city, there is also the garden association, a city park with ponds and sports facilities as well as a greenhouse with a garden shop and a restaurant. If you want to take a dip near the garden association, you should visit Tinni's outdoor swimming pool with their outdoor pools, for younger visitors there are shallower pools for playing and splashing.
